This place is off the beaten path in town. It’s authentic. The salsa is Hot ! They have red and green. The nachos are off the chain good. And it’s huge. The chips with the salsa are seasoned and can eat them by themselves. The 3 enchiladas with the red sauce was good and the asado meat was good. If your not use to the heat order 2 drinks lol! Definitely some good food for us.

I stopped by for lunch. They have an extensive menu. I settled on the carne arsada combo plate. Everything was outstanding. It was plenty of food at a reasonable price. The service was quick and friendly. I would eat here all the time if I lived here.

Server was excellent! Answered all questions and was very attentive, yet not overly attentive. Even tho they were busy!!
I had the chilirelleno combo and my husband had the chimichanga. Both delicious and filling. We started off with a super nacho. And oh my goodness the green chili sauce on it was amazing. Certainly recommend to everyone!

I had to add to my post. On our return trip we stopped at another restaurant to compare that was on the top 5 places for best Mexican.
I was so disappointed!
I can’t remember who did the review on to 5 but they sure messed up.
Went by Lucy’s and got some more of her sauce to hopefully make this other meal edible. Thank you Lucy!

Great small little restaurant, very friendly staff, food was very good. I had the Mexican omelet. Clean bathrooms, which is always a signal for me.

Really good food and really good people. We stopped because another reviewer praised the salsa, and they were right! Fresh hot chips, delicious entrees and tasty refried beans.

The food came out fairly quickly. The service was great. What most impressed me was the young workers’ were super friendly and courteous. They seemed a bit nervous but did an excellent job taking on our orders and refreshing drinks. And if you’re cold natured do take a sweater, it’s nice and cool inside. They have outside seating as well, in the back, I believe. The prices were decent, around $20 per adult, including food and drinks.

So immediately I noticed that there is no parking lot so you have to park on the street. No problem if it’s slow but then there’s these big concrete steps you have to climb to get in. Not good for people with bad knees or ADA folks. Once you’re inside it’s just a hole in the wall type of place with no bathroom. I ordered the street tacos (carne asada) you can only get five at a time apparently. Well I leave and go home to eat and guess what? No green or red Salsa with my tacos! Savage! They didn’t offer any and I didn’t think to ask because they usually put them in with your order regardless at any other place. By the way I did notice that they have plenty of salsas in the fridge with the sodas. They were in tiny little containers about half the size of the ones I’ve seen other establishments use. That should tell you something right? Then the tacos were obviously made with leftover meat reheated in a microwave and raw onion and cilantro slapped on top. Typically I’m used to onions cooked until they’re translucent and then raw cilantro topped on freshly prepared carne asada. Also it’s fair to note that I ordered my food to go ahead of time but they whipped it up when I showed up instead of it being ready to go as they said it should take 10 or 15 minutes. I got there within that window of time. Disappointed!

I like the food and love the service from Modesta and Erica. Their chips and salsa are the best and the table salsa has some bite and they’ll deep-fry a pepper for you. Thank you Lucy’s!
