Not having dim sum in the restaurant’s name definitely hurts this place with non-chinese potential customers, but maybe its better that way as this rather unassuming diner could not possibly handle the kind of rush / crowd the other locations get during convention weekends.
But I think if you have a late night crazing for dim sum, specifically chicken feet and soup dumplings, this is one of the bests in china town
I was genuinely blown away at how good the chicken feet was at 8pm on a thursday, and their soup dumplings were one of the best in philly china town. Its soup was savory, sweet, and not too oily, and the dumpling peels were a bit thicker, clearly hand made, with a nice qq texture.
Their freshly made potstickers and cucumber salad were also incredible. I would argue they were must order dishes.
We came here after seeing a line at Tom’s Dim Sum and having eaten at Tom’s before, I can confidently say this was a better experience.
While it doesn’t have as pretty of an interior, the food clearly shows the experience of an expert chef.

Heng Feng restaurant has a very small, cozy space, but we were seated quickly which I appreciated. The food itself was absolutely delicious definitely the highlight of the visit. However, the service could have been a bit more attentive. Our server didn’t really check on us, and when I asked a question about my dumplings (which looked a little different than others I noticed), I didn’t receive a response.
On the plus side, the bathrooms were very clean and the total for everything came out to about $40, which felt reasonable for what we ordered. One thing to note because the space is small, noise carries a lot. There was a baby crying for most of our meal, so I probably wouldn’t recommend this spot for guests with infants.
Overall, great food and fast seating, but the service and environment could be improved a bit.

This place reminds me of home cooking! Unfortunately I did not take a picture of my food this time around. The meal was very delicious that I didnt think to take a picture. I had the #61 Braised steak Noodle Soup with rice stick noodles. The broth was very clean and flavorful. The meat was clean and tender. My fiancé had the #60 House Special noodle soup with rice stick noodles. We also had the shrimp rolls. They were very crispy and crunchy. It was hot throughout my whole meal. My only complain was #60 had a few too many beef tendon. Overall the meal is the type of meal that gives you strength from a long day. By the end of my meal I felt I gain energy. Thank you so much.
God bless your business.

I recommend eating here while visiting Chinatown. I got #72 ox stomach noodle soup. It was amazing. I love the vibes of this place. I recommend trying the cooling mango drink. Our waitress was very nice and service was great. Definitely would come back here again.

Every single plate was delicious. Prices were very reasonable and the staff provided great service. We will definitely be coming back to Philly just to come back to this place. Very diverse menu and great options for vegetarians.

Very yummy. No hot tea, which was a shame. The portions were very large and I was worried that my beef and broccoli wouldn’t have enough beef, but it had a ton. I ate until bursting and my plate still looked like I didn’t eat at all. Each plate is probably enough for three people. I got a scallion pancake and it was a little doughy but still very tasty. I went with two other people and with tip we paid around $60, without tip $50. The beef and broccoli were nice and tender. My family each got chow mein and they really liked the noodles.

Overall, it’s not a bad place for dim sum. Service was fast and they have a large menu. Most of the dishes were tasty. My favorite was their soup dumplings. They were delicious! My biggest complaint is the lack of sauce for everything. The flavors are great, but it needs an extra something to make it that much better. I wish the fried squid came with some sauce. Same for the spring rolls. Even the noodles needed some more sauce! When we asked the kitchen as the noodles came out pretty dry and with little meat, they told us it was not possible. The prices were a little high for the portions. Overall, it was decent, but I would not return unless there was more sauce added.

We were so excited to go to Chinatown to eat some authentic Chinese food. I am from Asia so I have a definite way of comparison of tbe taste maybe not as exact but at least close.
My husband and I ordered the noodle soups, his was the house special and mine was with beef. To our disappointment, the soup tasted old, and beef was like not fresh.
Within an hour, my husband had serious diarrhea. I did not have it because I did not finish my food.
To be fair, the taiwanese chicken strips, beef scallion pancakes and the fried rice were ok.

This establishment offers three main category of Chinese cuisines: Dim Sum, Noodles, and Traditional entrees. So if you can’t decide, try all three! Although their menu is not as diversified as other dim sum places in Chinatown, all the dishes that we’ve ordered were quite tasty.
Service was quick, as we waited just a few minutes before dishes were being served. Portions were generous as well. Be aware that some of the photos on their menu/signs did not match the actual entrees served. So if you have a dish that you really wanted to try out, make sure you get a confirmation with the staff on what it is you’ve actually ordered.
This place do take credit cards as well as cash. But on credit cards, they have a minimum of $ 25 order. So make sure you have cash if you stop by for a quick bite.
