The view and the atmosphere fantastically compliment the authentic Italian cuisine. Nicely located in Myrtle Avenue. Osteria Brooklyn it’s very well known for their fettuccine osteria, which features a wine infuse homemade fettuccine pasta with fresh summer truffles and cooked in a Parmigiano Reggiano cheese wheel. We tried a little of everything: fried cauliflower, lasagna, cavatelli, chicken parm, pizza, and desserts– tiramisu, bread pudding, and creme brulee. I would recommend any of it! It was definitely the best fried cauliflower I’ve ever had, with thin and crispy breading. We got their seasonal cocktails. I loved the French Connection.
We went all out this time, but I can also see myself coming back with my partner to sit at the bar, enjoy the views, get a couple cocktails and split a pizza.
I ordered a cocktail and waited about 30 minutes for it. When it finally arrived, it had been made incorrectly, so they had to remake it. The corrected drink came 15 minutes later, meaning it took about 45 minutes total just to get one cocktail. The cocktail itself was good, but by that time I had already finished my appetizer.
Our server also seemed to forget about our main dish. She even came back to ask us again about the order, and in the end we received our main course about 1 hour and 20 minutes after ordering. During that time we ordered another cocktail, which took another 20 minutes to arrive.
Overall, the food was decent and the cocktails were tasty, but the service was incredibly slow. We spent almost 2 hours at the restaurant, and most of that time was just waiting for drinks and food. No one apologized for the delays.
Because of the experience, we unfortunately won’t be coming back. Two hours of waiting is simply not worth it.
First, I wanna give a shout out to our wonderful server, Arta. She really elevated our whole dining experience because she gave such excellent service.
Second, the meals were all so good! And I was shocked that their lunch specials were so affordable! On a weekday, you get an appetizer and an entree for $25. The portions were big and they all tasted amazing.
I’ll definitely be back. Such a great find to bring people to chat and enjoy good food with good service.
The music is great. The drinks are top tier. All service is super nice and fast. We love Jorge.
The service was outstanding — attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. They made us feel so special and taken care of the entire time.
From the appetizers to dessert, everything exceeded expectations. This is definitely a place I will be coming back to and recommending to everyone. If you’re looking for delicious food, great vibes, and exceptional service, this is the spot!
And the view is something you cant miss
Highly recommend! ✨
My friend and I stumbled upon Osteria Brooklyn in Long Island City while waiting for our car to finish at a detail appointment nearby and asked to see the menu outside. Right away, we were warmly greeted by Raffaele, the owner himself (we didn’t know and he didn’t make it clear he was), who was not only kind and welcoming but also hilarious — the kind of genuine host who instantly makes you feel at home without pressuring you to dine. Just good vibes, a great attitude, and a clear passion for hospitality – we guessed he was the chef because of how passionate he seemed!
We loved the menu and decided to sit down, and Raffaele went above and beyond to accommodate us. He graciously gave us a larger table upon request (which most restaurants wouldn’t even consider), and personally recommended dishes based on exactly what we were in the mood for — and nailed it.
We had a few special requests and substitutions, and not only were they handled flawlessly, but every dish came out beautifully presented and even more delicious than expected. The food was fresh, vibrant, and plated with care — we especially loved the shrimp Caesar salad, deconstructed mushroom chicken (pictured with ceviche!).
It’s rare to find a spot where the hospitality matches the quality of the food, but Osteria Brooklyn delivers both effortlessly. Raffaele is the heart of the experience, and it shows in every detail. There’s a reason there’s more than one location.
I seriously recommend this place to anyone visiting or living in the area. Whether you’re looking for a cozy, relaxed lunch or a flavorful dinner with great energy — this is your spot!
