The only place I know in Utah where I can get Carolina style BBQ. Even without sauce, the smoked meats are tasty but they do offer quite a range of BBQ sauces. The only reason I didn’t give Five Stars is because they’re only open two days a week.

This place is not what it used to be. I used to come here and thoroughly enjoy the food and atmosphere but they have really lost that southern charm. We split a full rack of ribs which were really dry and so hard to eat we didn’t even get through three ribs, and for our sides we ordered mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. Although the mash potatoes were still pretty good the Mac and cheese was soggy and tasted pretty grainy. My favorite sides here used to be their creamed corn and sweet potato casserole but they had informed me that they no longer do creamed corn and after waiting 25 minutes for my sweet potato casserole the cashier had asked me if I would like something else because they are barely starting a new batch.. when I declined and asked a refund they told me it would be impossible to refund me on my card and to just pick something else. however, I didn’t want anything else so he proceeded to take three dollars out of his pocket to hand that to me. (The sides are $3.99 +tax) next up is their cornbread. Their homemade cornbread used to be so soft and sweet almost like a cake but it seems as if they have switched up that recipe because mine was dry and crumbly, and their chocolate cornbread was to die for! Same sweet cakes consistency with a light chocolate flavor that that would melt in your mouth while still tasting like cornbread. I’m convinced they served me a brownie with butter this time. All in all the place was pretty clean and not very busy 3/10 wouldn’t recommend and definitely won’t be returning.

The guy at the register was a character. Bit of a spit-fire, haha.
We got a three meat plate. They were out of ribs and chicken, so we got pulled pork, brisket, plus an extra serving of brisket, a side of corn bread and red-skin mashed potatoes.
Pulled pork was fantastic. Full of flavor and very juicy.
Brisket was pretty mediocre. Tasted and had a texture more like a pot roast than a brisket.
The corn bread was dry, but okay.
The red-skin mashed potatoes were very good. Great flavor and texture.
I don’t think I’d come back based on the price and the mixed bag of results, but worth a shot if you’re a BBQ fan and want to try something local.

3.8 Stars, Better than average BBQ. Will come back to try other items to get the full experience. Ribs were pretty good, juicy but a little too cooked for my liking, I like a firm bite to the rib looking for that clean dry bone. Looked and tasted good. Sausage was pretty good. Chopped chicken was ok, little dry and no smoke flavor at all, think it may have just been grilled. Mac and cheese was above average, the cornbread was moist and tasted great.

Charlotte-Rose’s Carolina BBQ catered a pre-wedding family dinner for us. We were able to pick it up just before the event, and the food was absolutely delicious! All of our guests raved about the food.
We had brisket, pork, chicken and ribs – each one cooked to perfection – with a choice of homemade sauces. Every side dish – Mac ‘n Cheese, Green Beans, Baked Beans, and Cole Slaw – were so well-made and had home-cooked fresh-from-scratch flavors and textures. The Peach Cobbler was also tasty. We will definitely be returning to Charlotte Rose’s on our next visit to SLC…

Closed to walk ins. Catering only now. Not Carolina pit BBQ but close enough for those wanting a taste of the south. The Fixins are fantastic. I liked it. Wish it were open to the public but catering only is their business model now.

Top 3 best burger I’ve ever had! This place knows how to cook! The buzz cut guy at the front counter was super friendly and didn’t mind recommending sauces to go with what I ordered. Also took the time to explain each sauce and its flavor profile. First time customer but will definitely be back. Can’t recommend this place enough. Well worth every penny! I got the sausage burger with bacon. And the bacon! Oh my God! Crispy! Amazing! 5 stars!

Really solid bbq food for Utah, great choice if you’re looking for good bbq. The brisket was amazing. The cornbread and Mac and cheese, words can’t describe the happiness I enjoyed, go give them a shot. Fairly affordable and great portions.

As a native Charlestonian, I was excited to find this place. It was cool to see university pennants from most of the major universities in SC/NC. The Mac n Cheese was good, and surprisingly the Mustard BBQ sauce was legit. The pulled pork tasted like it had liquid smoke in it. The ribs looked/tasted like they were oven cooked. The cornbread was pretty good too. Was sad to see they were out of sweet tea. Yeah, I do most this stuff myself at home, and fairly well, but it would be cool to find a spot I could randomly hit up and swing in to grab. I definitely appreciate their shot at it though.
