Great place to go for a well priced steak. You’re not getting a ruth chris steak by any means but you are getting a very good flavored steak that is portion way beyond any other steak house (with the exception of big texan)for the price.
The steak has a wood smoke flavored, good exactly how requested with a decent size of sides.
The drinks was either can drinks or self service water or tea.
The location sets on the river with a great view, large parking lot for room to park.

My dad and I went to dinner. Let me start with parking lot. There was trash and broken glass. Tables have epoxy coated pictures on them. Tablea werw sticky Took waitress about 15mins to acknowledge we needed to order. After taking order she disappeared and wasn’t seen again except for bringing food to table We both ordered the seafood platter with catfish and fried shrimp. The catfish was soggy and tasted like water or freshly frozen. Very undercooked. My shrimp could’ve been fried a lil more but were par. Some of my dad’s shrimp had a bad taste to them . The baked potato was hot and came with butter and sour cream in pre-packaged containers. Dad’s slaw looked and tasted as if it was made earlier in the week. You serve yourself the drinks you want if you get tea or water otherwise it comes in a can from the back. Menu says came with a roll but it was really one big hushpuppy that was cold and undercooked in middle. The salt and pepper was in airplane wine bottles. .I will say the scene outside is pretty as it’s on the river. Music was nice. Definitely not worth 80$. And when we paid them and told them how service was they said next time would be better. For that price Gordon Ramsey would need to revamp it for me to come back

Face it! You didn’t drive down that long road for no ordinary steak. You came for the King Daddy of Flavor, Tenderness, and …. Marbled beef! I made sure to stop by and get my FIX even though it was not on my route! Leaving Baxley after a week of fixing hotel room phone jacks I was slap worn out. I was ready to get back to my own hometown, Milner GA. But…not until I got my RIBEYE! It was late, it was slow, it was quiet, it was perfect! I didn’t know I could refill my own tea!!! I loved my experience. Next time I’m arriving by boat! – Matt!, Solutions2 Low-Voltage.

First time and will be my last! I had to seat my self per the rules at the door and serve my own drink and refills and was asked did I want to add a tip when paying??? The sever advised us that she was ADHD and proved so when she took 15 min to return to take our order. The Medium sized TBone that was $38, was cold when it arrived and full of fat. The Gator nuggets were less than impressive as the biggest one was the size of a nickel. We ordered a medium Tbone with a salad, the seafood plate with gator nuggets and catfish with Cole slaw, both came with fries that we didn’t want and weren’t that good, and he had 2 Michelob ultras, I had water, bill was $97…. Will not be back. No thank you.

I have been going there for years. Always had a good steak but the prices have steadily increased. Gone from about $15 to over $45 for a ribeye. That’s about $60 with tax and tip., won’t be returning at that price when I can get one just as good at Longhorns at half their price.

This is a nice quiet steakhouse on the river. The food is great. The steak portions are huge. All of the steaks that came to our table were cooked exactly as we ordered them. It is a friendly, inviting, rustic atmosphere. My famly and I will definitely stop here again.

Honest review:
Last time I had visited this place was 9 years ago.
The food is so much better now!!!
The steak, chicken tender, and frog legs was very good.
Self served drink, which is cool.
Service was good and the restaurant was clean.
Location is kinda far out, but most cool places are.

The food was good, as it always has been, but the service was awful. I wanted to take my mom back since this was my dad’s favorite place before he passed away. Outside of the food, it was an awful experience.
It was always self-service, for the most part, but the prices suggest otherwise. You get your own drinks unless it’s soda and you get a can and a charge per can. The prices were astronomical. I could see why during dinner shift we were only one of three tables.
Unless the service improves and/or prices reduce, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Beautiful scenery, love the look on the inside of the restaurant. Steak was amazing, however, those sides look good in the pic but didn’t taste great. Fries were not hot, oily and soft. Coleslaw I do like, but, over powered with onions. Baked potato over cooked and the bread was fine. Table was sticky, could have been wiped down better. Took a moment to have a waitress wait on us. And although she was nice, this was our first time and she never once checked on us after the food or told us we had to get our own drinks. Or anything else until I had to ask. She brought a can coke to my husband. *Remember you fix the cup and ice yourself* There was another lady that served our food and she spoke to us like three times. She was extremely pleasant. She asked how everything was, did we need anything, etc.. Pretty expensive, but steak is great, sides not so much. Everything is priced high and served with fries and slaw, roll. Or salad and roll. If u want a baked potato, sweet potato all extra.
