I wasn’t sure if I would like them but they were really good. They just tasted like really good steak fries.
Whether you like ethnic foods or not most people will love this place. The service was great, staff was very polite and the restaurant was really clean. It was super fast and delicious. Great for a fast lunch or whatever.

Don’t sleep on eating here! When I tell you the papelon changed my LIFE It tastes like a delicious, tart apple pie. It’s a raw sugar lemonade steeped with cinnamon and clove, if you were curious.
I’ve had the cubano and pernil sandwiches. Both were delicious, but I wish the pernil had more garlic mayo as it was a bit dry to eat. The yucca fries and aioli dipping sauce are unmatched.
My friend had the arepa pabellón and loved it. I had a plantain from it and it was very tasty.
I’ve been to both locations, and the Nob Hill one is very cozy and charming. I recommend visiting that one if you’re in the area.

Food was great. Service was quick and courteous. The atmosphere was somewhat off since the restaurant is located in an old house, however someone could call it old fashioned, rustic, or quain. Had Cubano sandwich and pernil sandwich.

If you’re Latin and craving for some “vague Latin” food, this is the place. It’s super authentic but not very married to any specific ethnicity. They have the good coffee, not that gringo stuff y’all drink. Very nice Cuban, Dominican and Puerto Rican friendly things. Wouldn’t know more because I’m not super familiar, but they also seemed to have very Colombian friendly cuisine. Basically you’re Latin and in NM, do yourself a favor and chill there for a hot second – maybe get some brunch and enjoy the atmosphere.

We had breakfast here and it surprisingly GREAT.
The arepas were delicious, the Cuban sandwich was on point. The pernil sandwich was tasty and perfectly cooked.
The yucca frita and the sauce were great.
My mother in law ordered the arepa del perro and the avocado was fresh and tasty.
The staff was really nice.

Yuuummm!!! Guava Tree came highly recommended by a number of friends so I had to try it! Their sandwiches are hot, fresh, and delicious. I even ordered to go to have it again later that day. Add the yucca fries to your sandwich, although without you still have plenty of food! Great way to support local and get amazing food too!

Set in a cozy converted house, there are several different rooms and sitting arrangements, but lends to the atmosphere. I had the Arepa with shredded pork, my cousin had the Ropa Vieja plate. It reminded me of the food I’ve had in Costa Rica, which is comforting, and savory. It is counter-order, and doesn’t seem to offer free refills as they provide juices and lemonades and not cheap sodas or iced tea. I highly recommend, especially if you’ve never had this type of cuisine.

Small but tasty menu. We tried the Cuban, the arepa rellena and soup. Very good overall. Topped with passion fruit and guava juice. Service was quick.
