This place was great the other day it was the first time I had been and I ordered the chicken fried chicken with macaroni and cheese the plate is huge and can be shared with two people it comes out with 3 pieces of chicken it’s impossible to eat all by yourself lol it’s attached to a live stock place which is kind of funny but it suits it well! Definitely recommend 10 out of 10!

Went there for first time today. We had the chicken fried steak and it was delicious and HUGE. Very reasonably priced and also have daily specials. Can’t speak for the other menu items, but everything I saw looked delicious as well. The staff was great! Prompt and very friendly.
Dining area is quite small and plain, but clean! There were a number of customers picking up orders to go.
I highly recommend this place. We will be back!!

Don’t let the name of this great gem fool you. This place is great! Down home made from scratch food. – Delicious!
We ordered cheese burger and fries and bacon cheese burger and onion rings with a side of ranch.
I was skeptical when my food came and was served with a mayo and mustard packet. The burger bun was soft and warm, the burger was juicy with great flavor. I did prefer the bacon cheese burger but bother were yummy. The patty was homemade and thick. The fries, onion rings and ranch were all home made. The onion rings were fantastic!
I’m looking forward to to coming back to try chicken fried steak and steak fingers.
(Con: Check out is a counter to the side so the staff doesn’t always see that someone is waiting.)

Hidden gem! Highly recommend this restaurant! You WILL find friendly staff, great service, and the BEST HOMEMADE cooking that you have ever eaten. Classic small town, diner vibe with delicious food!! Cow Palace was recommended by the owner of Blue Stem in Shiner, and without doubt was a great call. Seat yourself. Salad bar looked all fresh and properly tended despite it being the peak of lunchtime. We opted for cheeseburgers w/ fries. All very good, beef patty tasted more like grass fed, def not big box or wholesale supply. Will look forward to stopping here again.

We have thought about trying this place a few times, but it always looks so busy that we just drive by. Today, we took a chance. It still looked busy, and it was. Some of the traffic is the cow auction. Which my grandbabies loved.
The menu gave you a few different items to choose from. The grandbabies chose chicken nuggets, and I chose a burger. The nuggets were not something either of the girls liked. But they liked the broccoli.
The burger was good, but needed a little seasoning. I also enjoyed the fries once I added a little salt.
Overall, it was a good place to eat.

Stopped by for dinner and certainly enjoyed the atmosphere and nice staff. I ordered the Grilled Catfish with French Fries, which also comes with a trip to the salad bar. The salad bar was fresh and neat, with a great selection and plenty of dressings to choose from. The Catfish was flaky and tender, and the fries were great. They give plenty of cocktail sauce, tartar sauce, and ketchup (or catsup). You can pay cash or credit card. Be sure to tip.
