Belle’s Bistro 10/10
They definitely know how to cook food. Not your typical bar type restaurant.
Be patient with them, they’re still brand new and working through some things.
The young gentleman that were the servers did an amazing job.
The inside has been transformed into a nice welcoming space considering what was previously there to work around.

Four of us all tried something different. We were greeted and were told to pickbwhere we wanted to sit. Only two other tables had people. The waiter shared the steak special, but no price, as well as the soup of the day being tomato tortilla.

Great food! I live in Colorado but visit my hometown of Belle Plaine several times a year, and it’s so nice to have a spot with fresh, flavorful, and unique options. My parents have been to Belles Bistro several times and always order the pasta Alfredo (at least 3-4 times now!) and love it. We also tried the birria tacos and yuca arepa – all delicious. We shared everything and loved it all. The wine selection is quite good too, with far more options than other local spots.

Service was also great – the young man that served us was kind and had a lot of good suggestions.

This restaurant is a gem! Stopped here for lunch recently. They treated us so well, and the food was amazing! Everything was well prepared, beautifully, plated, and tasted so good! We had the walleye, the chimichurri steak and dessert too. Highly recommend.

Laid back atmosphere with amazing food! Beef short rib and a mojito to cut the chill on a cold night. I was not expecting such good food from what appears to be a small family run restaurant!

The quality and price of the food is definitely not what you’d expect. Bargain gourmet food, anyone?

The service is great and the food is American and Mexican fusion, sort of. I was really impressed by the authentic Mexican food. It was really tasty. I’d recommend coming here and trying their different Mexican specialties.

The service was excellent and the place was really neat and clean. Highly recommended!

This place is great! Came for breakfast with my daughter for her birthday.
The chilaquiles were perfection. Nothing was mediocre and it’s beautiful inside.
Even the details like real cut flowers on the table. The pancakes, most places just go the easy route. Not here. You can tell everything was made to be what it has the potential to be.
Very happy to have found a place like this.

Wonderful experiance. Beautiful table. Great food. Chimichurri Steak- tender and tasty. Crusted Walleye-light and perfectly prepared. Great presentation. The chef came out to see if we had any questions. We were there for an early dinner, it was not busy at the time. Will do this again.

Absolutely stunning collaboration of flavor. What a treat to learn about another culture’s cuisine and have the opportunity to experience it executed so well. I am beyond thrilled I tried the llapingachos with my breakfast instead of hash-browns; phenomenal! Alex is always pleasant, upbeat, and insightful on the cultural aspects of the restaurant and it’s menu. The atmosphere is bright and always offers an intriguing detail to be noticed. This time it was the dazzling Día de los Muertos display.
