If you’re looking for a place with big flavor and even bigger hospitality, Not Your Average Joe’s next to the library in Oklahoma City is a true local gem. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm smiles and down-home courtesy that makes you feel right at ease.
The food is fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and served with care. Every dish tastes like it came straight from a kitchen that believes in quality over shortcuts. The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and just right for a lunch meeting, family meal, or a comfortable bite while you’re out and about downtown.
Service is attentive without being overbearing — the kind of gracious, professional touch that keeps folks coming back. Clean, friendly, and consistently delicious, this spot proves that good cooking and good manners never go out of style.
I’ll gladly be back — and I’ll be bringing friends. ️

My husband got me a caramel frappe with extra espresso, a bottle of orange juice, and some blueberry scones. He, unfortunately, was not a fan of the scones but we absolutely love the coffee. It personally reminded me of eating cinnamon toast crunch as a kid. Very delicious.

Super cute place connected to the library across from the courthouse. I’m happy I finally gave it a try. They were extremely nice. The coffee was delicious. Will definitely come back again.

I stopped by and got an iced vanilla latte. It was a little difficult to locate as it is in the library but no big deal. My coffee was fantastic! They nailed the balance of milk and bitterness of espresso. It was Also not overly sweet. I like this shop, the only reason I wouldn’t recommend it to someone is because they don’t use organic whole milk and they charge a $1 for oat milk and ¢75 for flavor so if you like upgrading your coffee probably find somewhere that doesn’t up-charge. The aesthetic was A1 though. They drew pictures on our cups and wrote nice little notes for us, definitely made it feel more personal. Next time I’m here I DEFINITELY want to try that cinnamon roll.

Comically bad.
Only one staff member seemed to know what to do while we got stuck with an employee who has been there longer but couldn’t figure out how to use the pos system or understand basic food handling.
My cinnamon roll was several days old and my dragons breath coffee was missing milk, the blood orange syrup and chillie syrup.
Cute space but staff needs a refresh on training.

I loved that I could customize my breakfast burrito (dietary restrictions) because most places you can’t do that. I also love the cause this cafe supports!

Needed a quick bite and some Joe! So I walked over to the Library. I can’t state how happy I feel when I enter any of these locations. Being invited by everyone so warmly and the detail they put into getting your order exactly right is better than most spots! The cinnamon roll was delicious and I love a good iced Americano! Thanks always for your great service and smiling faces! Enjoy!

This place is DELICIOUS. I tried the Honey Latte, and a lemon blueberry scone which were both AMAZING. So we took friends back later and I tried a lemon Haze lemonade, which was also pretty good. I love the vibes here, everyone was really nice, food/drinks that I tried were great, and the company has a really great mission. This place is within walking distance from where I work so I will definitely be back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a new regular coffee shop ❤️
