I stopped here on a fluke as I was driving down the road mid july. The ice cream flavors are limited, the staff friendly enough, the price was ok. They had some other farm type of items like jams hot sauce and vegetables. Nothing really stood out to me for me to stop by here again. It was a busier day when I came, parking can be limited if there’s a decent amount of people. Pet and kid friendly location.

Maybe because it’s off-season, or maybe just because… Unfortunately, we weren’t impressed by this place. The ice cream was decent, the staff polite, and plenty of parking (we were the only ones there) but that’s about the best I can say for this ice cream purveyor. And we go to a lot of ice cream places! It wouldn’t take too much to make this a real destination year round; people love ice cream! But customers have lots of choices and need a good reason to come to this place specifically.

Very easy to find. Plenty of parking. Restroom is a porta potty. Variety if flavors but best of all is they give you big scoops of ice cream. Great service. Plenty of seating and they also have a playground for kids. Had to give 4 stars because they don’t offer samples.

Excellent ice cream; very rich and creamy! The ice cream is made from local grass fed cows; cow to cone. They, also, offer PYO flowers. I was overly joyed to pick my own flowers. They provide you with a mason jar and you just fill it up until it’s full.

Great place for families or friends. Lots of varieties of apples to pick and the sweetness of the ice cream is legit. I think the flavors could be stronger but it was very nice, even on a chilly day. We also made our way through the corn maze and pumpkin patch. The maze was fun and definitely not straightforward . There was a small carnival there the day we were there with a few rides and games plus carnival food. We bought some apple butter BBQ sauce that I’m looking forward to trying as well. I think we’ll be back at some point.

Yummy ice creams made with fresh milk & cream and most made with no eggs. My child has food allergies and it was wonderful! She also loved the playground. Their fresh flowers are beautiful, too.

We visited to pick apples and pumpkins. It happened to be their fall fest and they had food and rides. The ice cream was awesome and all the staff were friendly. We had a lot of fun and will be back.

Parking: They have parking for different areas (shop, flower picking, pumpkin picking…). We made the mistake of parking in the front where the shop is until we found out we needed to follow the dirt road around.

Pumpkin patch: There is a tractor that takes you out to the pumpkin patch; it was a bit long when we got there. When we got out to the patch their were a lot of pumpkins to pick from larger or small. You just take the one you want of the vine. They have carts available to help move them.

Apple picking: They have a handful of rows of apple trees open and some of the apples are low enough for kids to pick. The 1/2 peck bag that we got seemed small for the price but it was about 5lbs like the website stated. They were very tasty.

We’ve gone multiple times over the last few years, and the ice cream is always good, especially Andes mint chocolate chip. Everyone there is very friendly, and it would be an honor to return!

We go fruit picking at a number of different farms almost every week since PYO becomes available in the Summer. Rock Hill Orchard consistently offers one of the best fruit picking experiences for our family.

When it comes to peaches, the picking there is unrivaled – every single time we’ve been there the rows and rows of trees have been spilling with beautiful, ripe peaches and nectarines. There has been no need to scatter about looking for good specimens to fill the boxes or bags. We often could have easily filled the containers with fruits from just one tree! Bountiful is the word that comes to mind when we go peach and nectarine picking at Rock Hill Orchard. In terms of the fruit, there’s just something about the peaches and nectarines at Rock Hill Orchard that boast exceptional taste and quality compared to others that we’ve sampled. They mentioned on their site that peaches seem to thrive on their soil, and we can absolutely attest to that.

The peaches and nectarines alone are totally worth the hour’s drive it takes us to get there every week. However, apart from fruit picking, we never fail to get the A2A2 Guernsey milk when we’re there. It’s quite spoiled us for other milk. And of course, the ice cream is amazing too.

Update 10/09: This farm is fast becoming our happy place. We love picking apples here! Each time we’ve visited there have been anywhere from at least seven to over ten varieties of apples available for picking. The apples taste great! Today’s visit was special as they had some carnival rides and attractions at the farm and our little one had so much fun. She went on all the rides she’s tall enough for, some multiple times. She also got the opportunity to see a cow getting milked by the robotic milker. We had some delicious apple cider donuts and their famous ginger ice cream (can see why people love it). Next up: pumpkin patch and corn maize. Can’t wait to check out the pumpkin cannon.

The ice cream was admittedly delicious, but this place left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth as far as service and atmosphere / family-friendliness.

The staff was not very kind or welcoming to our family, and they did not, as a rule, allow samples 🙁 which seems silly for an ice cream joint.

They also have a no pets policy, which we can understand inside the store, but they wouldn’t even let our dog get out of the car on his leash in the gravel parking lot, much less in the grassy area by the picnic tables where we hoped to all enjoy our ice cream together. So, we just sat in our cars and ate our ice cream and left..
