We tried this place earlier this year and it was okay. We wanted a treat tonight so we ordered again. Sesame chicken and General. It was easily the worst takeout food we’ve ever had. The chicken was so dry there was pieces we couldn’t even bite through. Dry shards of chicken. It was obviously sitting out for hours and scooped into a takeout container from the buffet. We are so offended that they would charge us $40 for this that we are leaving a review rather than calling the restaurant. The food in the photo is supposed to be sesame “chicken” but it had a crunch like a pork rind threw it all in the garbage

Under new ownership August 2025. Entrees are tasty and as I expected Mongolian Beef, Shrimp and Peas with Fried Vegetable rice side.
Disappointed with the soup and egg rolls. Entrees order comes with Soy sauce, hot mustard and sweet and sour sauce packets. Take-out pick-up only.

Horrible. Food was cold and hard. Some smelled rotten and barely any choices , spoke with owner and did nothing and we maybe took like 5 bites really sad to see this place this way and didn’t even offer a refund or any way to make it right . Save yourself some time get a hot and ready or a 5$ box from McDonald’s at least will leave more satisfied than here ! 17$ a piece for nothing such a scam!

I just moved to the area and am on the search for good Chinese takeout. I got the chicken lo mien and it was just okay, very bland. The egg rolls and egg drop soup did not taste good at all, very disappointing. My friend got the teriyaki chicken and fried rice, he said it was good so it might just depend on the dish. On top of that, it was expensive. Portions were good sized but still not worth 20-30 a meal. Don’t know if we will eat from here again.

This is our second visit and it was just as good as the first! The food is consistently delicious with generous portions that are well worth the price. Service is always quick and the staff are genuinely friendly. Even thought it’s a bit of drive from Saginaw, we have clearly found our new go-to spot for Chinese food!

Wow! I’ve never actually been inside China Palace before. We always went to PIs when we were craving Chinese food. The price for buffet was extremely reasonable and the food was amazing. I can’t get enough Crab Meat Cheese!

Been going here for a while and it was never amazing but compared to other options in town (Blossoms disgusted me in bay city so I never went to the midland one) it was the best.
Under new ownership it’s the worst it’s been. Had really dry chicken. The crab rangoons are thin and have no crab meat or even fake crab. Egg roll tasted bad. Tofu dish was alright. Nothing to write home about.

We showed up not realized it was carry out or delivery only. They offered to let us eat in by the food came in to go containers, which didn’t matter to us. Staff were very friendly, food was excellent, portions were huge! Sad they are not able to be fully open, the place is big and very nice inside. We’ll be back.

Itself was quite good , but no additional pea pods were added and the $6 for the add ons were not reflected on the portion size. Moving forward, I’ll order an entree that doesn’t require add ons. Again, what we did have was quite good.
