We did not make any reservations, but we were kindly treated and seated by the staffs.
We usually don’t have much of Mexican influences food, but we enjoyed every bite of the food here. Everything was nice and suitable for our tastes, thank to our waitresses recommendations.
The atmosphere was nice and sophisticated.
Amidst the chaos the staff was managing the crowd and quickly got us to our table.
At the table, the noise of the lobby as gone and the atmosphere became serene and sedate…a very nice setting for dinner.
Our server quickly came with menus and water. Soon we were eating. My wife enjoyed the fish tacos. My green chile enchiladas were very tasty.
I used the American Express Hilton Biz card for the $60 quarterly credit. Since the restaurant is part of the Canopy Hotel the credit applies to restaurant charges. The food was good but the value wasn’t so strong. No chips and salsa and no rice and beans with the entrees…two entrees and some papas were sixty. No regular iced tea.
A good meal with good service but a bit pricey. After walking back to the Grand Hyatt…we ate a bit more in the Grand Club. We were still a little hungry.
I would recommend this place if you’re looking for good food and a pleasant atmosphere.
The staff were friendly, especially our waitress.
We ordered the breakfast burrito and chicken enchiladas. The food was tasty. Personally the chicken enchiladas could use a bit more salt/seasoning, thought delicious they were a bit bland.
My husband liked the breakfast burritos. The Smokey seasoning on the potatoes were delicious.
Solid choice for brunch. We’ll try for dinner, which is what we really wanted but they were booked solid.
If you’re on the patio, know you’ll have birds land near you, most are adorable. Had a pigeon almost land on my head.
Some of the patio tables are really small, too small to have a meal, they’re more bistro tables. Decor is beautiful though and love the artwork especially the Elote art near the bar.
The food and drinks both were on top quality. The Guacamole was simply amazing.
It is little confusing layout as folks are sitting front/back and check in is all the way back. It is pretty loud as most of the tables are cramped close to each other.
The pricing was above average compared to overall experience however quality and service were outstanding.
The food was so much better than I was imagining, given we were on the Riverwalk but also the price point. The menu is only one page, which to me is a sign of a kitchen that knows what they’re doing. Stellar, addictive street corn. Fall-apart perfection for the braised short ribs, with good balance in the sauces. We had a mocktail that was interesting enough to sip all night (so many places make their n/a drinks cloyingly sweet or forgettably bland). We went with the server’s recommendation of the brownie with caramel ice cream and some sort of seed brittle on top… and the only disappointment was that there was not enough room in our bellies to finish the giant portion.
Definitely a place to visit when you’re on the Riverwalk!!!! We made reservations… probably recommended as it was busy.
