Since 1984, AJ’s Seafood and Oyster Bar has been serving cold Gulf Coast oysters and cool libations. What began as a popular local hang out known for fresh oysters and cold beer has grown into one of the most iconic “hot spots” on the Destin Harbor. From our humble beginning shucking oysters off the deck behind a small trailer on the Destin Harbor, we are proud to have grown to four locations along Florida’s Emerald Coast, serving the freshest seafood, best live music and most exciting water activities on the Emerald Coast.
On the Destin Harbor docks, this eatery features raw oysters, grilled fish & a bar with live music.

This place was the best restaurant/bar I went to during my stay. I highly recommend if you want to go out and enjoy music and great food. The staff were friendly and the view was beautiful. I’ll definitely be going back.

Had a spectacular late lunch of Parmesan and grilled flounder with an appetizer of AJ grilled oysters. Great meal and atmosphere with the perfect waiter, Kaleb he was extremely attentive without being intrusive with excellent recommendations. Definitely eat at AJ’s!.

It took a while before we were waited on. Another server in the area actually approached us to see if we had been helped yet. Within the next few minutes, our server came by and we placed our orders. We ordered adult beverages, fried okra as an appetizer (YUM!!!), the lobster rolls, and the fish of the day. Everything was pretty good, except, my husband’s green beans were sooo salty he could not eat them. All in all, it was pretty good and would eat there again!

Visited here specifically for the oysters. Most of our oysters is still had a lot of mud and dirt in them which indicates they weren’t cleaned very well. Not only on the shell, but in the oyster itself. I had to physically take each oyster out and eat it with a fork to get mud off. We ordered waters that also tasted like seafood. Everything felt very unclean. Even being next to the kitchen, everything was very dirty. We decided to go elsewhere after.
Our waitress was very kind and the host was very kind. Definitely seems to be a really great atmosphere for nightlife. I would just skip the oysters.

Really cool place with an amazing view if you can get a table overlooking the water. They have an overflow parking lot across the street that costs $5 per hour if their main lot is full. The fried shrimp was great and the fries were better than I expected – I’m not a big fan of crinkle cut fries but these were seasoned well and cooked perfectly. The fish tacos were a solid option as well. The only minor issue was the hush puppies – the flavor was good but it seemed like they were probably pretty old as they were cold and a little tough. Service was average but that’s fine. I would eat here again.

We stumbled upon AJs when walking around down in the Harbor area. Walked in and were greeted by an amazing hostess lady. She was very accommodating for us with our handicap son, and found us a good spot.
The food was great, the drink menu/specials were awesome. The vibes were on point!

Awesome decor and salty dog atmosphere…live music and festive vibe! Low lighting is comfortable, and the food is delicious This was off-season, so dining was all inside. Outside there are walkup tables, a Sushi Bar, and views of the Harbor. It is part of the Harborwalk Village at the easter end of this array of shops and eateries. I will be back during regular season to fully enjoy what Destin has to offer.

My family and I I visited AJ’s 2 years ago and it was so good that we just had to go back and it didn’t disappoint. When we first arrived we did have an issue with the hostesses but the manager and our waitress made our experience epic. The food was absolutely delicious. That fish and grits is top tier and I must say it’s my favorite dish of all time from any restaurant. I most definitely recommend AJ’s.

However I have some words for the bartender, words you would never hear in church about the best darn margaritas in town. Schnokered on 2.
