Came in for a late brunch. I was seated almost as soon as I walked in the door. The staff was super friendly and when I say quick service. I order multiple courses and drinks and dont think I waited more than mind on drinks and 5-10 mins with eating course. I would highly recommend coming here for a nice bite. The our door seating is also a very open space and lovely.

Located in downtown Schenectady this place sets the bar high. I definitely recommend reservations however we had instentios of brunch elsewhere but found out they were closed so we moseyed over on the off chance we could walk in. Upon entry were were welcomed and sat. What luck! I have been dying to try this establishment but knowing its popularity I figured there’s would be a slim chance of entry. I was blown away, first off the vibe is incredible, modern, comfortable, private yet feels like an established restaurant with a casual yet bougie feel. Their drink menu is fantastic, they have great drinks according to my friends but for me, a non drinker I found their ample menu of mocktails out of this world. Thank you! Then the main event, their chicken and biscuits.. WOW just wow. The biscuits are soft, savory, fluffy and the spreads were delicious. If you are a Benny lover you may have found heaven. I had the truffle chick benedict. The chicken is my absolute new favorite, seasoned perfectly with the best crunch you could imagine, resting nicely on a poached egg, their famous biscuits with lemon thyme hollandaise sauce and home fries. The only thing better was their service. Our waitress was attentive, personable, patient and helped with any questions we had. If I could give 10 stars I would. Bumping some beautiful photos for reference

Visited on Valentine’s Day for their prefix menu. Great selection of options for it being a limited menu. Would definitely visit the nest again for any prefix menu. Great drinks great servers . Great all around

The Nest has a great menu and awesome atmosphere but terrible service.
The Nest has a great menu and cocktail selection that is normally very diverse and unique with classic selections. The drinks and food are moderately priced without getting to out of hand for some items.
As the atmosphere is modern farm kitchen with roosters and bird decor all around making it a fun and cozy spot to have a drink or something to eat. Enough spacing with 2 floors to have seating with friends and family.
The service is friendly and happy to be able to make the experience great. The problem with my particular visit was that my group was stopped at the door before leaving. We asked why they were preventing us from leaving. They stated that we did not pay the bill. When the bartender gave us the bill we put it on a CC and we got a return slip that needed our signature, so it clearly went through. Management insisted that we do not pay and asked if we kept the paper receipt, we didn’t as it is 2026 so why keep it if its recorded digitally. So management told us that we have to pay AGAIN, wait till they checked the digital log, or wait for the police to show up. We pulled up our records and transactions on our CC to make sure that it went through as we are not going to commit a crime. As suspected our CC was charged the correct amount and showed management, they did not believe us until they saw it on their end. After about 10 mins, they said that they will check the physical book where they kept the receipts, why they didn’t check that first I have no idea. After about 2 mins, they found the slip and it reflected that the charge went thru. They could have check this in the first place but felt as if they wanted to charge us a second time for the convenience of not having to look thru their records.
This experience is very unfortunate as The Nest is a great place with great food, drinks and servers. Management did not treat the customer correctly in this case nor did they apologize for the inconvenience that they bestowed upon us.
There was no care for us so this is a place I would NOT recommend if that’s how their management is going to treat their customers.

Great place for southern flavored cooking and drinks in a hip environment in downtown Schenectady. Highly recommend jambalaya and anything fried on menu!

What a wonderful experience ! The staff is warm and friendly the minute you walk in. The fish n chips is like no other I’ve ever had ! This catfish has to be in the hall of fame . It’s crispy , its flavor, it’s heaven ! The fries are also unique due to their crispy and robust flavor . The Mac salad made me think of my Grandmother , a special homemade rarity . I highly recommend coming here if you haven’t already . ❤️

I love that it’s high end food but they allow casual attire. We showed up after a long day of traveling all over, and every detail was great between the welcome, the comfy chairs, the lighting, the wait staff, and best of all the food! We got Katryn’s Biscuits (delicious, crusty, buttery inside, wonderful), fried oysters (literally the best fried oysters I’ve ever had), and the half chicken. My old fashioned was made and garnished perfectly. They have local whiskey so you can support local while drinking. 😉 We’ll have to come back the next time we’re in Schenectady!

The brunch at The Nest is, so far, the best brunch I’ve had in Albany. The dishes are full of flavor, with real bursts of taste, and the service is excellent. Everything feels well executed and enjoyable.
That said, you do get through the menu fairly quickly, so it would be nice to see the offerings change or rotate a bit. I also found some dishes to be a little oily. Overall though, it’s a very good brunch spot and definitely worth trying.

My family made a reservation for 5:30 prior to seeing a play at Proctors. We immediately were sat at a table upstairs. The ambience is beautiful and elegant. It has a Renaissance feel from the bird cage chandeliers, the gold mirrors and picture frames. We were immediately greeted by our friendly server Skylar. She was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and the specials. We opted all for the Blueberry Lemon Drop. The appetizers came out quickly , hot and fresh. One thing about this restaurant is the flavor is not lacking. They use a perfect amount of sauce, garnishes and overall flavor. I would highly recommend for a dinner date or night out.

Brought my son for his 21st birthday dinner who happens to work at the sister restaurant, Milas down the street. I’ve been here before but this experience was beyond amazing.
The food is literally perfection in every aspect.
We had the shrimp n grits, biscuits, chicken n waffles, wings, and the rib eye steak special.
Steak needed more salt , which was the only complaint at the table. Those wings are to LIVE for! I mean what do y’all do to them?
Shrimp n grits felt like a big old warm hug and made me do the happy dance. And the old fashioned was the best I’ve had in a long time. Delicious. Our waitress was delightful; always smiling and just such a sweet lady. Brunette lady I forgot to get her name but she was great, please find her lol.
Oh and chef Justin brought my son 3 different deserts which was just so sweet and again- delicious!! Thank you guys for making it a wonderful meal and evening out for my Son. ☺️
I can’t wait to go again and try something new!
