Always a wonderful experience! I have a pretty basic palette but have come here 3 times and never once did I not like anything! The waitstaff is extremely proffesional and courteous and works very very well together! Drinks are top notch and the food quality and taste incredible! I cannot get over the atmosphere and the design of everything. Not sure what else to add, other than you have got to give this one a try!

Easily the best restaurant in La Crosse. We found it to be an amazing place for Valentine’s day The romantic restaurant features outstanding meals, literally the best place we have eaten in years! The pan fried tenderloin with pepper sauce was out of this world. The chef cooked it to perfection. While the lobster tagliatelle centered on the large chucks of lobster tail, the pasta was extremely good. The service was also outstanding – they show up when you need them without hovering.

This place is phenomenal! The atmosphere is classy but very comfortable. We were served by Mia and she was fantastic. Professional but very nice and personal. The food was amazing. The lamb skewer starter was incredible.

Exquisite! The apple and cheese salad was uniform cut and the flavor perfectly balance. Pure joy in every bite!
The pappardelle noodles perfectly cooked and each one was evenly coated with the sauce. Amazing!!
The pistachio crème brûlée on point and heavenly. Overall nothing was over salted or overly sweet. Flavors pair well.
My server knew the menu very well and explain each dish with poise and patience. She wiped the table in between coarses with a crumb tray and clean white cloth then set me up for the next dish with proper placement. I also observed the staff being courteous and professional with each other.

We were there at around 4:50pm on a Saturday and were at the 5th waiting list so I will recommend to be there at 4:30pm if you want to get seats in the first round. The first server was great with beautiful smiles and thoughtful suggestions. We were seated at the cocktails room to wait and started with our drinks and starters. Later we were moved to the main room which was by the bar area. The restaurant has good vibes and the food we ordered is on top quality with unique menu and tastes. We were satisfied in general and thought it’s a great choice for us to go there to celebrate a birthday. Will visit again and maybe arrive a little bit earlier.

We were traveling from Missouri and ended our trip here and it was absolutely fantastic experience. Gents (sp?) was our server and he made our experience fantastic. You can tell he took pride in his work and was proud to work there. I had the short rib ravioli and it was delicious. My husband had the flat iron steak with chimichurri sauce. The sourdough bread was fantastic.
We are road tripping and were worried we’d be under dressed in jeans and nice shirts but maybe because it was Oktoberfest weekend everyone was super casual. It was a tad loud maybe because of drunk Oktoberfesters, mainly the people at the bar. The wine list was insane and whiskey/bourbon choices were plentiful. If we lived here we would come here regularly. We are well traveled foodies and not easily impressed and this place was delightful.

We had a phenomenal time here last night!! There was a bit of a wait but Joan made us feel super comfortable and made room for us at the bar and came over to personally tell us table was ready when I let my text notification go unanswered!! The habanero margarita was amazing! The apple salad SO good. I had the spaghetti shrimp dish and it had just the right amount of lemon and garlic. We were very pleased with our experience and will definitely return!!

It was an interesting and amazing experience.I’d recommend making reservations since they’re only open for a few hours per day. The atmosphere was very nice and the staff was very attentive. They were constantly coming around filing our cups and making sure we didn’t need anything. There was a little bit of wait between appetizers and entrees so I would say to expect to spend about an hour and a half to two hours there. My table ordered a variety of food and we all shared family style. We had the ribeye, lamb, pork and 3 different pastas. Overall, all the food was very tasty. The pork was a bit dry but still tasty. The pasta with shrimp was good. One was dairy free and more lemony, which made it more refreshing. Everyone agreed that the ribeye was the best, and may be one of the best they’ve had in town. We also had the tres leches cake that was very good as well. I would say, this place would be a very good date night place or the place to go for a special celebration.

We had an absolutely amazing experience at Lovechild. From the wait, which was not bad considering a busy Friday evening on a holiday weekend, to our server, who was so excited to tell us more about every item we were interested in, the service was above and beyond. The food was incredible, with highlights being the homemade pasta, steak, and dessert options. The wine menu is almost overwhelmingly extensive, and the cocktails are all unique and inspired. We will be back the next time we’re in La Crosse, and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a special evening in the area.
