My husband and I came in around 1.30PM on a Sunday…We ordered 3 lunch entrees and shared it. I also had the coconut flan for dessert. As I looked around, all servers are attentive and the place has a friendly atmosphere. We had Eyleen as our server. He was wonderful. I had a Mexican restaurant (Pedro’s Cantina) and I can honestly say the place is clean!!! That’s very important to me.

Hello All, I came in today February 16th at around 1.30. We sat down and so far it was okay…. we placed our order and i told the waiter to toast my sandwich a little extra, well when my sandwich got to the table the cheese was cold ham was cold, I didn’t complain I just said to please toast it more so that cheese could melt, he came back my food was still cold… I was disappointed by then but I didn’t complain. When I ordered my food I had told the waiter when you bring out the food can you bring me a soda please. Well I had forgotten about the soda. When the check came out I had just remembered about the soda, and I told my brother check to see if he charged the soda that I never got. Sure enough he did! He didn’t even take it off the tab. Mind you it wasn’t even busy today! It was my table and another table with just 2 guys. It was the worst experience ive received.

I love this place and their food but this is the second time this has happened and honestly for prices the employees should do better. If you’re going to charge .50 extra for sauces 1 make sure we get all our sauces paid for (I ordered 4 and got 3) and two make sure they are secured and maybe wrapped Because of carelessness the garlic sauce got all over the place and essentially down 2 sauces. Do better.

Don Ramón in Wellington deserves 5 stars. The service is fast, friendly, and very attentive from the moment of arrival. The food is always fresh, well seasoned, and served hot. The portions are generous and consistent every time. The atmosphere is very clean, organized, and family-friendly. This restaurant maintains quality, great flavors, and excellent customer service. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Latin food with great value and professional service. I will definitely come back.

*** Don Ramon Cuban Cuisine Never Disappoints ***
This was my first time at this location. It’s much smaller and intimate than other locations. The food was good as usual. I didn’t particularly care for the calamari but they did their best. Everything else we ate was splendid.
Our server was kind and friendly. The place was clean and the parking was close and free. This Don Ramon is located in the Plaza by the Wellington Mall.
I recommend this place. 4 Stars!

I’ve been a loyal customer of Don Ramon (Wellington location) for over 12 years, ever since it first opened. The food has generally been decent….not exceptional, but consistent enough to keep me coming back. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was so disappointing that it may very well be my last.
We were dining with family near the door to the outdoor patio on a chilly evening. Every time the door opened, a blast of cold air swept through, making our table uncomfortable and cooling our food almost immediately. The staff had propped the door open with a chair, allowing a constant draft to blow through the dining area. I politely asked twice if they could close the door or have guests use the other entrance, but by the fourth time it was left open, it became painfully clear that they simply didn’t care. They didn’t even offer to move us to another table or take any steps to make our experience comfortable. After so many years of dining here, I was truly dismayed to be treated with such indifference and disrespect.
The waitress serving us, someone who has been there for years and has consistently shown incompetence, indifference, and a lack of basic professionalism, was dismissive and unhelpful throughout the meal. Her careless attitude and refusal to address a simple concern perfectly reflect her long-standing disregard for customers. It’s unacceptable that someone so unfit for customer service continues to represent this restaurant.
Even more disappointing, the management and ownership at this Wellington location seem far more interested in defending rude and inattentive staff than in valuing loyal, long-term customers who have supported this restaurant for years.
It’s now clear that Don Ramon Wellington no longer prioritizes good service or customer satisfaction, choosing instead to tolerate unqualified staff at the expense of loyal patrons. After more than a decade of dining here, I will be taking my business elsewhere, to an establishment that understands what true customer service means.

Don Ramon in Wellington is our favorite Cuban restaurant! The food is absolutely delicious every time, and a special shoutout to our favorite waiter, Jefferson — he’s amazing! Always smiling, so sweet, and easy to talk to. Daniel took care of us today and he’s awesome as well. Staff is so friendly here. Whenever we’re in the area, we always come to this location. Comfy, delicious food and great service!

When I went, it wasn’t super busy, so I was able to take my time while viewing the menu. Lots of options–land, sea, veggie, sandwich, etc..
I got Ropa Vieja with yellow rice, and sides of Tostones and Maduros. Everything was incredible!
