No wait on a Sunday mid-morning; they were busy, but we were seated quickly. Food was quite good. I had a huge breakfast burrito covered in sausage gravy. The burrito wrap was nicely light, not too thick, and had a thin, light layer of scrambled egg across the inside surface, so the contents were wrapped in flour tortilla and egg, a very nice touch.
The coffee was a specialty, and was quite good, but this leads to the only jarring note of the experience. The little monkey dish of creamers the waitress sat down looked like dairy creamers, even had a picture of a farm on the foil, but they were non-dairy ‘creamers.’ I unwittingly poured one in my coffee. I despise non-dairy creamer, and it made the coffee taste terrible. I asked for a replacement, and was brought one. I drank it black. I don’t understand why a restaurant would put so much into their coffee program, and then use non-dairy creamer. As an option, sure. Ye gods. I’ll be watching that more closely.

My wife and I love coming to Gateway Grill for breakfast whenever we get the chance. The service is amazing and always fast, even on really busy mornings. Our server, Laura, was absolutely spectacular. We also can’t say enough good things about the owner and the consistently delicious food. One of our favorite spots — highly recommend!

Tasty fresh food served pretty fast and with a lot of care. Just the sort of laid back diner atmosphere I love. Only knocked off one star for food because my hash Benedict eggs had no runniness at all, but maybe that’s on me to have not specified. If you expect runny yolks from your eggs, better specify when ordering

Definitely recommend. Delicious breakfast and great American diner experience. Polite kind staff. . I enjoyed eggs Benedict with steamed spinach. Everything was tasty and sauce great. Husband had a breakfast with sausage meat and he enjoyed this too. Good value as portions were generous.

Food is great but make sure you look at the menu before you go because they have certain things. I recommend their soup! Everything is usually homemade and taste great. Always Busy! Here’s some pictures of food

Seems like the breakfast spot for locals. Good service. My breakfast (BLT with an egg) was good. Wife was not too fond of her sandwich. But the deal breaker was the coffee. It was maybe the worst coffee we ever had. Tasted to me like a coffee substitute. Sorry but hopefully you read this and will switch it up.

So the wife and I were in the area to visit hungry bear bee supplies and were looking for a place to eat. They were kinda picky, so it’s never easy. Anyway, after a quick Google search, it turns out we just passed the Gateway Grill. So, a quick two right turn, and we were in the rear parking lot. Super convenient and plenty of parking. The staff are very nice and professional without being fake. Very small town feel. Our waiter (I think it’s Steve) was absolutely “lovely” (you’ll get that if you meet him), and funny. Food came fast but not too fast (perfect) coffee if great for “dinner coffee” and tge food was amazing, we both had the breakfast bowl, which comes on a little lazy Susan…. how cool is that. Also, very pro first responder establishment. We’ll be back for sure soon.
