Awesome place! Drinks were great, service was fast and attentive, and the atmosphere was pretty good! We came here on a week day evening and didn’t expect to see a large, but as the night went on the crowd got bigger and bigger. Quickly, we realized this place was a popular spot. Glad we checked it out!

Bar in downtown Jacksonville. Cons: unremarkable door and entrance to the bar, looks dull and abandoned. Doesn’t make you want to go in. It’s not bad inside, clean, but very dark, we only saw the receipt with the help of a flashlight on our phone, but for some this is a plus. Have a drink and have a good time alone or with friends. Don’t count on food, just a bar.

This place was such a good find! The drinks are so well made it was hard to choose what to drink. We got the pistachio espresso martini and nee zealand kiwi drink and they each were delicious ! One was a classics and one was perfectly sour. The vibe was fun and dark and they even had bingo the random night we visited. The bar tenders were friendly and knowledgeable. Must go in the area.

The vibe of Dos Gatos was really cool. It actually didn’t seem like it would have amazing cocktails. But boy was I pleasantly surprised! The bartender made great drinks and they had a really expensive menu with great drink options. The espresso martini had lots of foam and a great taste!

What you are about to read is a true account of what many feel is as rare a sighting as Bigfoot itself. But I swear to you, everything you’ll read is true.
After a long day’s work I went for a quick bite to eat, dinner to be exact. I didn’t have to walk far, a mere 8 minutes or so from Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront.
As I walked into the Dos Gatos Mexican Restaurant, I was immediately greeted by Julio (the friendliest Waiter I’d met in quite a while). I would later find out he is actually the Manager. This is where the story takes a ride into the “Twilight Zone”.
He not only greeted me with a smile but he shared an authentic conversation with me. WHAT?? No way! Yes way, I swear!!
He walked me over to my table and did a flawless hand off with the most kind and soft-spoken waitress there, Angela H. She had a pleasant demeanor about her and wait for it…, greeted me with the most authentic smile as well. What?? This was not happening. Somebody pinch me!! Noone, and I mean noone, is going to believe me.
She took my complete order in what seemed to be seconds and returned with my drink almost immediately. Drink was ICE COLD just like you read about in fictional stories, I promise. And my meal followed within mere minutes, probably less than 10 to be exact.
Dinner plates were flawlessly arranged showcasing a variety of vibrant and complimentary colors and textures. And the food was not bad either. Lol. All kidding aside, my plate was quite authentic and dare I say, DAMN GOOD. Hell yeah!! I know this because, well I’m also Mexican. However don’t assume I go around endorsing Mexican restaurants because I won’t and don’t. I actually find myself being less impressed with Mexican restaurants because well, my standards are pretty freaking high. So trust when I tell you that this restaurant is Authentic and their food is Phenomenal.
I highly recommend!!!
And if you enjoy their food as much as I did, or anyone else’s, let someone know. God knows I’m always looking for honest reviews.
Oh yeah, and they offer discounts as well. If you’re not sure, just ask.

Everything was good. The atmosphere and everything. Just the service at the karaoke room was so bad. The person there just if you give money to them would leave to sing. So disappointed for that. To get a song and ask to pay 50$ is something so so embarrassing.
The drink and Robb were amazing.

Brought a post wedding ceremony crew and it was a great time! The atmosphere was great! Service was excellent! Bartenders were wonderful! Music was good! Drink options were plenty and the drinks were tasty!

At first glance most people will pass this place by. You have to know what you’re looking for and take chances. The inside is 100% better than the out. It’s quaint environment and the bartender Robert was worth it. He made us one of the best spicy margaritas we’ve had in a long time, the orange jalapeño margarita. They have many drinks to choose from and made from scratch by the great Robert himself. Thank you for your professionalism. Don’t forget to take a selfie with the bear. She won’t bite. I swear
