Best bar in newport! Always good vibes in this place. Pool table, juke box, great staff, cheap drinks… What more do you need? The manager James is a legend and all the bartenders treat you like family. Great spot to watch games too.

Awesome place … even though I haven’t been here in 33 years… still have my membership card somewhere. Beer was always cold. Shepards Pie on Mondays was always awesome……Prices were great. Looks pretty much the same except for the partition going down the center…. Where’s Pete, the bartender… always great to the crew…Flanny, Paul, Dan. Stretch, Jon, Sean, Whib, Mike F, and all the Twin House Girls. Also Meady! Thank you, IA, for all the great times and memories and the people you housed there! This place was a real life “Cheers” back then…!

Pretty cool and large bar with daily entertainment. I love when Irish bars have comfortable, solid wood table and bar chairs with back. We stopped by here during Halloween weekend on Sunday. Couldn’t stay for Karaoke. Fun bartender definitely keep the sprit up for Halloween. There is a music box and billard in a different room. It’s a nice place for date or get to gether with friends.

Places like this are a real treasure. No pretenses — just a great vibe, excellent drinks, and a bar man Joe who has found his calling in hospitality. We attended a vow renewal for family and Joe takes it very seriously with the highest intentions and kindness. This place has legit charm.

Was searching for a place to grab a cocktail prior to a late dinner reservation. We wandered up and down Thames looking for a place that would take us in. Finally ended up here. They were great! They welcomed us with a smile, the service was great, and the Irish pub atmosphere was cool. Looking forward to our next visit!

The bartender was so nice, she let us drink at the bar while she was still in the middle of opening the place and we weren’t even members which we didn’t know you had to be to go in there. She poured us both beers and told us about things in town, etc. She was very hospitable it was really nice.

We stayed in the apartments upstairs the rooms are completely redone and beautiful. The bar is so fun and the staff is so friendly. Drinks are great and not crazy expensive. Awesome atmosphere will come back next year.

Wow…seems prior review ruffled quite a few feathers. FACTS:….overly aggressive bartender… makes unfounded m inappropriate comments towards patron (ME!). Teeters on the very edge ..of going full on physical. Asserts comments made towards his girlfriend. Never happened. Someone…..needs to drink less. Far too many other Newport watering holes…to allow this level of incredibly shabby customer service to prevail. Never again….not if they were GIVING it away….

Great neighborhood dive, members only club. $20/year. You get a shot on your birthday, and a flat rate for beer on draft. They have pool, darts, and an arcade game that changes from time to time, and keno. There’s a jukebox and occasional live music. The kitchen is open on weekdays at noon.
