One of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had.
We called ahead to let them know we had a decent-sized group coming. They told us there were tables available on the patio but that it was first come, first serve, which we completely understood.
We arrived and were able to get tables right away. However, after being seated for about 30 minutes, we noticed a server repeatedly walking past us serving tables behind and below us — including one that was seated after our group.
Someone from our party finally went inside to ask what was going on, and we were told that we had to order at the bar because they were so busy. Not ideal, but we went along with it. Each family went up to the bar and ordered separately.
After ordering, we waited another 30+ minutes with zero updates. When someone went back up to check, we were told we would just have to keep coming inside to check if our food was ready.
Apparently we all clocked in for a shift that day and didn’t know it.
Food started coming out between an hour and an hour and 45 minutes later, and every family had to repeatedly walk inside to check on their order. We even had to ask twice for silverware because the bar didn’t have any available.
At that point I asked why some tables were being served while others had to handle everything themselves. The response we got was that several staff members were out of town for spring break.
While staffing issues happen, the lack of communication and organization made the entire experience frustrating. If customers are expected to order, track, and pick up their own food, that should be clearly communicated from the beginning.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend PK’s.

Blacksburg, being a college town, we do not venture deep into town except when classes are on break. This is our favorite place for onion rings, good burgers, and good beverage selection. It can be loud but I did warn you about being a college town.

Solid bar food, not bad on the pizzas! Especially if you ask for Audrie to make your pie. Best place in town to play pool, get a beer, and have a bar snack. Service is 5 star- best bar tenders and servers in town.

The woman behind the bar was incredibly rude and discourteous. I’ve never been anywhere where I was so blatantly ignored. I wonder why, if she doesn’t like her job, she doesn’t find another one. She threw our order away before we’d even finished. I would never go back, and I absolutely do not recommend this place.

Being from Huntsville, AL. Came up to Blacksburg area for fall colors. After a very long day of seeing the sights my wife and I were looking for a good place to eat. Went downtown Blacksburg and found PK’s. People let me tell you. Our bartender T.C. Was a blessing. We wanted a good ole bar burger and fries and he suggested a great IPA to go along with our meal. We can’t say enough. It literally was the Best Burger and cheese fries we have had in a long time. We have eaten all over the country and we found PK’s to be one of the best places we have been to. Would highly recommend this place. Thanks T.C. For the great advise and excellent service.

We came here for a Friday night drinks and food. I have to say, their menu is diverse and has a great range of prices. Everything looked sooo good as it was being run by the servers. We got the Classic and Faculty Street burgers and they were extremely good burgers! The medium well was cooked perfectly, the medium one was a little over cooked BUT the taste definitely made up for it. The ambience is really nice with people from all ages. Our server was super kind and checked on us regularly, and the food was served quickly (within 15m). It is my first bar & grill to try in Blacksburg and it is highly recommended.

If you’re looking for a place to get casual drinks, look anywhere else in downtown Blacksburg. Bartenders are passive aggressive, rude, and do not know how to deal with a moderately busy restaurant. Experienced bad service multiple times here before deciding to write a review. Literally any other bar on Main Street will give you better service than here.

Fantastic pizza! The food at PK’s is fantastic. We did takeout while in town for a football game. Not only was the food incredible, but even on game day they had it ready quickly and exactly when they said they would. It’s been years since I’ve eaten inside so I can’t say much about that, but takeout is fantastic!

Been to PKs once or twice but this was the first time I tried their pizza. It was awesome! Will comeback for more. Plenty of space here so a great spot to duck in on a week night or even early on a game day.

Me and my buddies came out to eat for lunch, upon sitting down, what I believed to be the bar tender (male, blonde hair) came fast walking out from behind bar and aggressively tried to grab bag and rudely made comment about how you can’t have a bag in in this restaurant. This definitely could have been handled better instead of touching other peoples belongings. Rated 0-10 wont be back and highly suggest to pass this one up.
