A dive bar with TVs, touch tunes, karaoke, and grill where you can cook your own steak. Can’t be many places like this anymore. Had two orders of their loaded tots. Felt like I had a tire in my stomach the next day but damn good. Cold beer, craft cocktails and good prices.

Omg who knew. Fun retro bar, dark inside, red leather booths, has Italian wall mural of Venice. Busy at 1 to 3 pm. I’ve driven past this place for years and always wondered about it. But today was the day for a reunion with an old high school friend. First time for the borh of us, so got their signature steak lunch with all the fixings plus dessert. The gimmick here is you grill your own steak. Grill located in a second room, grill very clean, steaks you prep, all the seasonings are there. I whined about raw meat on my meal platter, so Steve our server (he’s worked here for 14 years) gave me a clean platter. Put that 8 ounce steak on the grill…Steve told us the best placement on the grill for the meat, nicely strategic thanks Steve…and he suggested keeping an eye on the slices of garlic bread, thanks Steve, good advice. 4 minute on one side, 3 on the other…perfect medium rare. My friend and I grew up in mpk but never ate here. ..peobably bec you have to be 21 years old to enter bar, and her dad 50 years ago was a bartender here. Which is why we came. This place is perfect for nostalgia. I’m not one for bars, but this place had a bar that was hopping busy, many regulars. Great neighborhood vibe. Will be back with mom in tow. She’s gunna love the prices. Quality top sirloin steak for lunch only 23 bucks. Bargain. And tho I whined about having to cook, that was half the fun. Highly recommend. Old school bar in MPK.

Cool spot feels like a Hollywood movie. Good food and reasonable drink prices. The only thing is you have to judge your steak on how you can cook it.

That 1980’s dive bar feel with a bbq grill in the back where you cook your own steak, baked potato, garlic toast and bottomless salad bowl. Very dark lighting, great for a first date. Bottled beer and mixed drinks. Surprisingly good! After golf ⛳️

It was my last night of a work trip to City of Industry. We wanted a steak dinner on our company budget. The Venice Room came onto our radar. Half way to the place my compadres found out they had to cook their own steaks. We almost didn’t go. That would have been a massive mistake. This place has the coolest vibe as soon as you walk in the door. Our waiter showed up right away and we ordered a few drinks, old fashioned and Bloody Mary. Perfect. We think the owner dropped by to check on how we were doing. He gave us the low down and recommended the chicharron! Don’t miss it. We ordered the rib eye and NY strip dinner special and with drink in hand we got to grilling. They have a selection of seasonings and you grill up your steak and finish your baked potato and garlic bread. There’s a great, simple salad bar and at this point a few locals and the waiter are checking in to see how you’re doing. The finishing touch is a dessert of vanilla ice cream with raspberry liqueur. We had one more round of drinks and just chilled. What a great experience! You’ll feel like a local and leave satisfied!

Websters Dictionary defines a “Good and Fun Time” as a good and fun time. I grilled a steak with my male companion. I Ate garlic toast. And I learned a little about Italian Culture, because the Venice room is an Italian bar at heart. Come and meet the people. Eat the MSG. The Venice room is the kind of place where you are at the Venice room.

It looked awesome and we wanted to go so badly but unfortunately we drove from west LA to meet a friend there with our 14 year old son and were turned away because they don’t allow anyone under drinking age in. We thought it was a steak house but it is classified as a bar. Wish they’d made that more clear on their website.
