The Golden Raptor
This restaurant is such a Gem.
The food was amazing and i will say the same about the service.
Completely customizable spice levels to your liking. I also noticed they had a an entire section for Vegan and vegetarian options, which is fantastic.
We had the Chicken Spring rolls, Pad Kapau Chicken and Chicken Kao Soi.
They also served a complementary Salad ! The Kao Soi is a special one.
If you are in Virginia Beach and craving for some Thai, this absolutely is THE PLACE !

Am not too sure. With all the 5 star reviews this place looked empty from the outside, on a Friday evening! You get seated right away of course. The decor is definitely Thai. There were just 4 more people to the corner.
You get complimentary small salad with greens, shredded cabbage, julienned carrots, a slice of tomato, the ginger sauce was weirdly strong like artificial ascorbic acid mixed in.
I ordered the beef noodle soup, maybe a good one to compare with other cuisine versions. I wanted to try the curry dishes but call me living under a rock I still get sticker shock when. I see an entree priced at $20.
I ordered the beef noodle soup. What’s noteworthy is the aroma of the beef broth, seems to have been simmered for a long time. Definitely a 5. It was a huge portion, definitely enough for 3 meals. And with all considerations of ambiance and value I give this place a 4!

Appetizers and entree were all very flavorful! We come to VA Beach every year to visit my older brother and for vacay. This time my daughter decided to celebrate her birthday dinner at a Thai restaurant, and they were kind enough to bring us small plates for the birthday cake we brought. We try to eat at different local restaurants when we’re here and definitely recommend this place if you love Thai food.

We had an amazing meal! Spring rolls were the best we ever had-cris? Not greasy. Papaya salad was really good, but we’ll order it mild vs. medium next time. Three of us got curry dishes that were SO yummy! Servers were very friendly. We will be back!

I was looking for a good Pad See Ew with fried tofu for while. I tried this restaurant for lunch.
I ordered Tom Yam soup with shrimp. Do you know this soup or Tom Kha Gai are food that you can judge the restaurant level.
Sorry but the soup is just so-so. Too much sliced onion in it.

We got seated and serviced right away. It was not crowded at all. When we got our food, it came out at separate times which I can understand happens. However my boyfriend’s dish never arrived when everyone else’s did.
We were in a rush to go somewhere so we cancelled the order that never arrived and asked for the check. That’s when our server’s mood change. She was confused about item itself and claimed that we hadn’t ordered it at all. When we got our check, a different item that we hadn’t ordered and never received was added to our check. When we tried to dispute it, she kept insisting we were wrong and that all the food on the receipt had been brought to the table. We clearly did not receive everything on the check and after a good amount of arguing she had agreed to remove the cheapest item from the check, not the item we didn’t receive. Often times the customer isn’t always right but this server absolutely refused to be wrong. We won’t be coming back.

It’s always a bummer for me to leave a poor review, but I felt I needed to share our experience. We went on a Monday evening and they were relatively busy. We started with a large sake to share which was barely lukewarm. We ordered the fresh spring rolls which are typically served cut in half, but ours came whole leading to an odd number to share between 2 people. The soup we ordered ended up taking so long we paid and left before getting the soup or ordering dinner. My mother in law recently dined here and had a nice experience but we unfortunately did not.

Absolutely zero flavor on the beef. The noodles were ok. I’ve also never seen a lemon served with Pad See Ew before. I would not recommend this place, at least for that dish. Probably in general because the meat was absolutely flavorless.
