Driving from Iola back to KC, we found this place abs decided to stop in. The decor is charmingly devoted to local history or local residents, and the staff was friendly and kind.
But the burger. Oh my God that burger. That might be one of the best cheeseburgers I’ve had in my life. I will look for even the flimsiest of excuses to come back down here.

Certainly a great country type dinner. You will enjoy the daily specials. The weight staff is very gracious, and I was impressed with him for the most part. During busy hours things will take longer than what you would expect Mike that is to be expected at least. They use high-quality ingredients and they don’t slack on those. My food is not only always fresh lemonade. It does not sit under a warmer along and that is something you can tell. The atmosphere of the place is certainly homey, and some thing that folks from the city might enjoy. There’s certainly down-home field to it that is welcoming and inviting. I’ll be honest, I don’t like the name of the place because it is a bit pejorative. That’s probably my only negative against it though.

Good place to eat. Good food, good friendly service. Didn’t know they didn’t take plastic. We were a couple bucks shy of the total bill. They took what we had and said that was fine. Very gracious of them! Definitely going back.

I thought the food was ok. Not great. The prices seemed a bit high for a country cafe. I didn’t notice the cash only sign and had to walk to the gas station to get cash. If i happen to be hungry while driving through town I’d stop but in the future I wouldn’t go out of my way probably.

Cute little Diner in a tiny town. Food made to order and special requests are welcome. Friendly staff and good service. (Requested grilled onions and cheese in hash browns and didnt get the side-eye or outrageous upcharge)

I’ve known Rich and have been eating breakfast & lunch @ the Feedlot Cafe for over 20 years. The food is always great. The staff has changed over the years, but are always prompt & friendly. And you can’t beat their reasonable prices! Highly recommend! Only wish they were open 24/7.
