New restaurant in the area. Delicious food. The atmosphere itself is more like a diner than an Italian bistro cafe, nonetheless the food was delicious.

Started off with glass of wine.

For appetizer we started with the eggplant napoleon. I would very much recommend. Great flavor. Very good red sauce.

They provided grilled bread with olive oil and balsamic. There was definitely a hint of truffle. Wife loved the bread.

For entree my wife had the Chicken Scarp. Delicious as well. Very rich brown sauce.
I had the Carbonara Americano. The cream sauce was very good.

For dessert we had espressos with a slice of their chocolate layer cake, yum!

I would definitely recommend.

We had the best experience here! The service was impeccable, with extremely friendly & knowledgeable staff. The chef/owner introduced himself and made it a point to let us know that he was happy to accommodate us in any way possible. Our waiters were both very enthusiastic & offered great suggestions while ordering. We went with the Fra Diavolo and Chicken Parm, with a side of the truffle herb fries. Everything was DELICIOUS especially the sauces and pasta. The portions were generous and the prices unbeatable. Can’t wait to bring more family and friends here; you can tell they genuinely care about the diners experience & put great thought into the product they deliver. Will most definitely be back!

From the moment we walked in until we left, the experience was cordial and entertaining. We conversed with the owner and his attentive staff about the business, the neighborhood, and of course, the cuisine.
The Chicken Scapriella was unique–spicy, rich, perfectly presented. I kept a scrap of bread to capture the last of the beautiful sauce. My dining companion reported the eggplant parmesean to be exceptionally tasty, and both servings were of more than ample size. In all, it was a five-star experience that we would gladly repeat. Matt Killian is to be congratulated for his excellent establishment.

Matthew Killian runs the best restaurant in the 518!! I was recommended this place from a friend and was blown away a thousand times over. Matthew and Lisa ran the place like it was my grandmas house. The comfort level, personalities and level of service belong in manhattan!! This dude really knows how to run a restaurant. Keep in mind I am from Saratoga and have nowhere near comparison nearby. Do yourself a favor and check out Buono Notte!!! Matthew is truly one of the best I have seen in business.

My wife and I were told this place was the real deal authentic Italian so we had to try it out. We were not disappointed. I am privileged to eat at some of the best restaurants in the country and this was better than a lot of highly coveted Italian restaurants in major cities up and down the east coast. My wife loved the eggplant Napolean and the crab cake app. As someone who grew up on the ocean in New England she described it as the best crab cake she has ever had in her life, and I agree. The chicken picatta was impeccable and the pasta was fresh and absolutely perfect. I love that it is a family owned venture, and the food is definitely prepared with love. Every aspect of the meal was a perfect 10 out of 10. This is our new go to spot in town when we want a perfect meal for a very reasonable price. There are a lot of very good restaurants in Glens Falls these days but you would still be missing out if you don’t check out Buono Notte!

Update Dec. 2025: We had another wonderful meal at Buono Notte Cafe. The food was excellent! The people are pleasant and friendly. This is our new go-to restaurant for special celebrations. I can’t wait for the next opportunity to eat there!

Looking forward to going back! We had a wonderful meal last night (Oct. 2025). It was our first time eating at Buono Notte. We were looking for authentic Italian food and we were not disappointed. It was a slow Tuesday evening, which made the experience more intimate. We enjoyed chatting with our server, Lisa.
My husband, a vegetarian, had the pasta primavera with house made fusilli and a marinara sauce. I selected the white clam sauce with angel hair pasta from the specials menu. My husband had a lovely Cabernet and I had a wonderful Chianti. From the house made salad dressings, to the wines, to our entrees we were very pleased and impressed! The entrees were fresh and hot! The food was a close second to the variety of foods we have enjoyed all across Italy.
We will be going back again, and we live nearly an hour away. Worth the drive!

Can’t recall the price, but it was reasonable for what you get. I got the homemade pasta. It had a lovely decor. There were only two of us, but I saw tables of four that looked comfortable. It is small, which makes it intimate.

Relaxed atmosphere, intimate setting, friendly service, and a chef/owner who will ask you after your meal how he did. And the food was delicious, and ample enough to bring home for another helping.

While small in size, this restaurant is a big success! From the moment we arrived, service was terrific. Our waitress, Victoria was welcoming, efficient and very good. We started with the fried calamari – it was terrific, lightly battered, very flavorful and not at all chewy which is often an issue. The bread was served lightly toasted and the perfectly crusty. The olive oil and chili flavored balsamic (?) was so good. I could have just dipped bread all night! The salads were nicely presented, no discolored lettuce, and served with delicious homemade dressing. In my opinion, a homemade dressing really steps up any salad. Finally for entreees, my husband had chicken Parmesan (with a side of the tastiest sausage!) and I had a special of chicken cutlet topped with fried eggplant, spinach and red sauce. The marinara sauce is delicious. On a side note, it was nice to see a chicken cutlet Parmesan served as a full cutlet, not cut in strips the way the local restaurants serve it.

We were pleasantly full and skipped dessert but I’d love to try their rainbow cake. If their desserts are half as good as their appetizers and entrees, I’d be very happy.

As a former Long Island girl, it was so nice to have an amazing Italian dinner close to home. Wishing Buonno Notte lots of success as long as we can still get a table!!
