Johnny Burritos was really good! The food came out fresh, flavorful, and the portions were solid. I got a burrito loaded with rice, beans, and steak, and everything tasted well-seasoned and cooked perfectly. The place is clean, the vibe is chill, and the staff were friendly and fast with the service. Prices are fair for what you get, and it’s a great spot if you’re craving something filling and tasty. Definitely coming back again!

Johnny Burrito is a true hidden gem in Charlotte! It’s tucked away downstairs in the Wells Fargo building, and once you find it, you’ll understand why people rave about it. The food is unbelievable, and the whole experience feels unique and fun.

If it’s your first time, tell them you’re a rookie and ask for the “rookie card” – it’s a great way to figure out what to order. And if you can, go on a Tuesday for the chicken tamale special… it’s absolutely worth it.

Quick service, friendly staff, and flavours that will have you coming back. Easily one of the best spots in Uptown Charlotte.

Was welcomed no sooner than walking in the door. The gentleman working the cash register filled us in on how we could order and the options. What a great experience for a first time visit. Got home and told my son about it, he is frequently in Charlotte. If I get back to Charlotte I will definitely be stopping back. Had a salad with chips on top, it was very good.

I’ve worked uptown for many years, and I’ve walked by this place going to Subway. The line is always long, so I just pass it by. Don’t make my mistake. That line moves soooo fast! You pay first, then build your meal. The workers are very nice and helpful for the “Rookies” 1st timers are called rookies!! I was there when they opened, and a very nice gentleman treated the rookies to a nice explanation of their services. And the rookies received a cute surprise
They have a nice variety of very fresh toppings. I chose a bowl. Lettuce on the bottom, chips on the top. The lady that packaged my bowl said the green salsa was fresh! She was not lying. That was the BEST Tomatillo salsa I’ve ever tasted. It was amazing! That salsa complimented my bowl nicely! I’m definitely returning.

So impressed by this place. As many of said, don’t let the line turn you away. It goes so quickly, like a well oiled machine. Then the manager, friendliest person ever, will chat with you in line and if you’re a “rookie” give you the rundown of how it works. Chipotle BYE!! Had the firecracker chicken, adobo pork in a spinach wrap with zucchini, mushrooms. Absolutely delicious. Crushed it! Will need to eat here again before I leave the area. Again, owner and manager are the BEST and so welcoming. This is a gem and my absolute place so far.

My Rookie visit today! And let me say I will definitely be going back. The Crew behind the counter were awesome. No skimping on the scoops. The ingredients were extremely fresh. I love the fresh jalapeño rather than pickled ones. You get more than your money’s worth for the price. Great little semi hidden gem uptown. Oh, do go early to avoid the lines at lunch.

If you want great food and great service you must come here. You definitely get your moneys worth definitely if you get the bowl! The food tastes amazing and the owner takes lots of pride in his business. He’s proud of what hes built and it shows in the food.

This was an awesome lunch. The people here were very friendly and welcoming. We had the burrito and the tamales. Both were really good. I got the hot sauce and it was seriously hot but very good. This is our ne lunch spot! I love it. They do take cc but there is a cash discount.

Went here for lunch. A cool, unique place with a line a mile long. It moves fast and is worth it. There is a guy at the front who gives you the basics on ordering if you’re a 1st timer. It’s super helpful and he does a great job. The food was great with several different meat options (you can combine 2 meats if you can’t choose) and all sorts of toppings. I got a bowl and it was delicious. Check them out

It’s almost as much fun ordering the food as eating it…almost.
They can spot a rookie a mile off but go out of their way to help out, they even give you a gift on your first visit.
The food is first class; fresh and authentic flavours. The portion sizes are enormous, but the prices are surprisingly reasonable.
The line is long and full of locals, which says it all. Best lunch I had while in Charlotte.
