I got the Elizabeth’s Special for over $20. Which is fine if the food is quality. The enchilada, rice, beans, tortillas, and veggies were pretty good, but ALL 3 meats were DRY, even too hard. The meats were seasoned PERFECTLY, but it was too dry and hard to enjoy. I was so hoping to love the plate, which i almost did, but the meat was what killed it ugh. I may try another plate like the enchiladas. Yea, maybe I’ll give it another try!

The wait was a bit long but noticed a lot of regulars.. I had asada plate, puffy taco on the side.. I loved that it’s made fresh. Definitely homemade tortillas which was my favorite. My spouse didn’t like his enchiladas they had a chill wolf taste.. The food needs a little more spice. I figured since it an older demographic spice is cut to a min. If you have a restricted diet this is definitely a place for you to try..

We have known Elizabeth for over 30 years and it’s where our mother used to like to eat. The atmosphere of this restaurant is very inviting, the food is outstanding. Owner Jesse and son in the kitchen along with help, Paz and Jesse Jr man the tables and table side talks along with the rest of the waitstaff. And Mrs Elizabeth mans the island and manages all soft drinks coffee iced tea and the cash Register. A family tradition going back several decades…The food is straight outta Coahuila Mexico bar none some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever eaten.

After having experienced indifferent customer service(customer in front of me was offered napkins,salsa,s&p) while picking up breakfast tacos a few weeks ago, I thought I would give this place another chance by dining in with my daughter. Today was no different. I was greeted by one staff member who was not the staff at the host desk. Was told to wait to be seated just for another family to be sat before me. When I received our food, the bacon was cold, over cooked and so hard it was impossible to chew. Thankfully, we were asked how the food was and were given a replacement at no extra cost. The young man who served us was the only pleasant thing about our breakfast.

Disappointed. I drove by some time back and they were out on vacation. I’m in search of a place that I can buy Menudo and Barbacoa without the need to stop at 2 different places. I purchased the Menudo and Barbacoa. Menudo: 1 star – no flavor and seemed watered down. Barbacoa: 2 star – bland – added my own seasoning and it came to life. Service – was great and inviting. It’s a shame that the food was not tasteful. Perhaps that’s not their strong suit. Anyway back on the hunt next weekend.

My 1st time here… and OMG this place has the BEST flour tortillas! They are fluffy and so soft!! Their tacos are delicious, well seasoned. I ordered their whole pork chop with bean taco. The chop had the perfect sear, on point. Their horchata was refreshing and not too sweet, it was just right!! Oh yes, the staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive!
I will certainly be coming back again. Check this place out for yourself!
