Picked up a slab of pork ribs, burnt ends, JoJo potatoes and baked beans. We thought everything was really good. The ribs were very fresh and tender. The beans are very traditional. The JoJos were different than what I have had. There are just thin slices more like fried potatoes that my mom would make. They were very soft for what I prefer so I put them on a cookie sheet and seasoned them a bit and roasted in the oven for a bit to crisp them up. Overall very good!

You’ll know you’re in the right place from the heavenly smell that greats you from a block away. This neighborhood joint has got its system down to a science. Ordering over the phone is simple and pick up times are accurate. Not to mention that their food is addictive and their pulled pork life changing.

have been to ted’s a few times and they have been a great last minute spot to pick up lunch / dinner

staff is very friendly and always quick with orders never have to wait no more than 10 mins

i always get the full slab of pork or beef ribs (in the photo its the pork slab) and side of large jojo’s (soo yummy i love the potatoes, you can get them covered in sauce or ask for the sauce on the side for more control)

i just wanted to post my review to squash the recent negative ones, i paid $36 and i think the ribs were pretty dang meaty, and the flavor was amazing very tangy smokey and delicious!

they are a local gem in my opinion

Ted’s has become an ole reliable on the weekends for my family. The ribs are almost always perfectly tender and you cannot go wrong with extra jojos!

Sometimes the chefs play the classics while they’re throwing down and that’s nothing but a vibe while you wait for fresh food.

The service is simple and kind, just the way we like it.

The meat was cooked to long so it dried out, the sides had NO seasoning as bland as water. The red beans & rice where floating in water. Their is no way anyone tasted it first. Waterd down Famous Dave’s BBQ sauce. The food almost made me cry. I remember Ted Cooks from when I was in high school. MB I should have never come home. $115 for four dinners. Bringing a friend here was embarrassing.

Order ahead, order early! This place was sold out of its apparently-popular brisket by 8:15pm on a Friday evening. I’ll definitely come back to try to place sound again, as it looks like a busy, and reputable establishment. FYI, this is a little takeout place, there aren’t any tables inside to dine in.

Ted Cook’s 19th Hole BBQ is outstanding. The sauce is spicy, sweet, tangy and thick. The marinated meat is rich with the aroma of hickory smoke. Delicious!!!

Tonight we ordered half a chicken and the full slab of pork ribs. They always pile on the jojo (pronounced HoHo) potatoes on top of it. We also love the baked beans, coleslaw, etc. Try the hot links sometime! You won’t be disappointed.

I just want to start by saying Mn has the worst food ever! The beef ribs at this place were very delicious it came as a dinner with a sauce cup sized can beans and coleslaw. The coleslaw was good as well. I ordered collard greens, black eyed peas and peach cobbler. The greens were tasteless no meat, no flavor no nothing! The black eyed peas same. No taste just a spicy flavor . As for the peach cobbler it was cold and soupy. Peach cobbler is a pie it should be warm. This place has no restroom might as add. It’s among the many places in Minneapolis that doesn’t low customers to use the bathroom. Also I paid $47 bucks for samples. The portion size is sample sized. The black eyed peas was big enough to share but they are not good.

Been coming to this place for over 20 years used to be great food and great service these days not so much. The food is cool most of the time same flavors in all, but make sure before you leave you check your bags to make sure you have everything that you actually order or else they will argue you down that you paid for what you ordered and they’re not missing anything I guess is their customer service policy all I could do is shake my head. ‍♂️ ‍♂️

doesn’t really seem like
him or the person at the counter loves or even enjoys what they do for work maybe i came there too late at night, but the potential is there but the beef ribs were dry, and the sides were a joke idk what the heck JoJo’s is homemade potato chips?
