This restaurant was highly recommended so I was very excited to try it. Sadly, I was underwhelmed. I had their Rojo Chicken Flautas plate. The plate is supposed to come with 3 flautas, your choice of rice, & your choice of beans. I DID NOT get beans, only rice. I didn’t realize it was supposed to have beans until after I left the restaurant and revisited their website. The flautas come with 3 dips, queso, guacamole, & avocado cream and they were all very delicious. The flautas were cheesy but lacked flavor. The rice didn’t taste like much either.
My husband ordered tacos with steak. They did not have much flavor. He said the texture of the steak seemed like it had been grilled and then steamed. He also ordered a quesadilla and they asked him if he wanted the kid size and he said yes. Instead he got a regular quesadilla plate with rice & refried beans. He tasted the rice and beans and said they weren’t worth eating so he left them on his plate. The quesadilla had that same strange textured steak so he didn’t enjoy that much either.
I ordered a burrito for my son and the guy was so distracted that he left the tortilla on the warmer too long and it was very overdone. He used it anyway. Then proceeded to put very small helpings of ingredients on the burrito. Because I had seen other burritos in the restaurant, I knew that my son’s burrito was very light on ingredients.
My son said the the burrito was just okay, something to eat, but not memorable at all.
My ordering experience was quite unpleasant. It was very chaotic on the food prep line. The young man that started my order kept being interrupted by another employee asking him questions and reaching over him. When she wasn’t completely in his way she was asking him to do things that took him away from preparing our food.

The verde salsa was okay but it was more heat than flavor. The avocado ranch was the highlight of our visit. You get a bag of greasy (see picture), but crisp, chips and your choice of salsas with your order. Go for the avocado ranch, and ask for extras! It’s the best thing this restaurant has to offer.

I have to note that the cashier was delightful. She was friendly and efficient. She smiled and thanked me for coming to the restaurant. Unfortunately I didn’t ask her for her name but she was very gracious.

It was very loud in the restaurant making it difficult to have a conversation without yelling. I’d say there were about 15 or so people dining in, besides us.

I highly recommend looking at their menu online BEFORE arriving at the restaurant because the only menu that you see before it’s your turn to order is the bar menu. Once you get to the front of the line you see their offerings on the menu board. It’s a Chipotle style of ordering where you tell them what main dish you want then go down the line picking the things that you want added.

Any Chiloso I have visited has been a good experience. Their tortilla soup is delicious. What made this place different was someone came to the table to check on me. I don’t know if that’s the norm at Chiloso, but this is the first time for me at a place that isn’t ypur typical sit down restaurant.

The food was amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had not been there before so when we sat down the manager came and spoke with us. I wish I could remember her name.

This continues to be the Chiloso of last resort.

I was eating a breakfast bowl when a pretty gnarly hair baked into my food appeared. I had to pull it out and it was stuck to all of the food. It smelled pretty bad too. It sounds dramatic, but I certainly lost my appetite.

A busy spot to try and visit during the lunch rish hour, Chiloso is a good spot to dine in at or take on the go. I ended up ordering a bowl to go and was very satisfied with my selection. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the service was quick given the line that had formed. Great spot to eat at. Just plan for a wait if you try and arrive during the lunch rush hour.

The food was delicious. My friends and I took a five hour drive from San Antonio just to try the food after seeing the reviews on TikTok. I hope that you guys consider opening a location here.

Utterly disappointed. I used to love chilosos, but during this visit all I could think of was how I would’ve been more satisfied if I had gone to chipotle. 50$ for two is insane, and I wouldn’t be upset if the food quality was better. The flautas were super oily, I don’t recommend them at all. And my pulled chicken burrito was so salty, I couldn’t pin point the culprit. Never again.

Terrible experience I don’t usually like to do this but it always takes something special and extra stupid for me to get on here and vent about it, the wait time is unbelievable and they are extremely rude about it. Half of my order is already out and cold and it took 30 minutes for my flautas to come out. It makes no sense. They did not give any heads up about the wait time or I would’ve ordered something else, half the family is already done eating and the other half is still waiting on Food. This could’ve been solved with a simple heads up by saying Hey, our kitchen is backed up. During all this they were super rude from the start. Wouldn’t recommend.

1st time going today and wow, why have I not been before? So they have build your own burrito kinda like Chipotle or Freebirds BUT it was breakfast!!! So so yummy you pick from items like, eggs, 3 kinds of beans, sausage, bacon, chorizo, plus all the toppings to choose from. So can make a GREAT breakfast to fit you, mine was $10.50, the husband got few extras and spent about $15. It was not crowed at 9a but it was steady stream of customers and the coffee and fountain drinks are on them for breakfast can’t beat that. I loved the queso too one of the better ones I’ve had. Definitely will go again!!

I absolutely love Chiloso’s. We’ve been eating regularly there since the original one in Rockwall opened. It’s one of my favorite places because I can get all the those Mexican food ingredients i love so much in any combo I want – wrapped, folded, stacked or in soup. OMG the chicken tortilla soup!!! Hands down the best – it’s broth based and you add whatever else you want in it so load it up with your favorites. On the other hand the grilled avocado is one of those dishes you can’t stop eating even when your stomach is screaming to stop. Two 1/2 avocados, grilled and topped with your favorite meat (mine is fajita steak) along with a queso drizzle with a side of beans and rice.
