I came here for lunch during a class at NMT. I was searching for a green chili cheeseburger.
I had the GCC with tots for lunch, and a cold glass of pink lemonade. Great meal!
I sat on the patio in the shade and listened to the bustling golf course around the clubhouse.
I will definitely eat here again this week. I recommend this diner.
Burger was terrible! No flavor, gray, flowing with old grease. Sent back our uncooked fries, which returned cooked, but tasted like old grease. Basically paid 20 bucks for a burger me or my kids couldn’t eat. Won’t be returning, it’s a shame
I ordered one of the lunch specials, the chicken fried chicken sandwich.
It did not disappoint!
A light crisp on the bun, along with a perfectly breaded golden brown deep fried chicken breast is what greeted me. Told with a scratch built white gray that had the chef’s unique twist to it. Thick enough not to run off, but thin enough to spread like a sauce. I ordered with onion rings, cooked beautifully and perfectly complimenting the sandwich.
Good enough that I came back for dinner!
Just in time for the “Night Out” menu, which changes every so often to keep things fresh.
This evening, was the chef’s take on sushi (with a locally inspired flavor twist). Being in New Mexico, barbacoa was added to the sushi.
There were, other options, of course.
SW Chuckwagon(Barbacoa, a decadent cilantro lime cream cheese, and some roasted red peppers. Rolled rice out, crusted with crushed BBQ chips and Chipotle mayo)
Mexican Street Corn(Sweet corn, cotija, cilantro, an equally decadent chike-lime cream cheese, and topped with Tajin and a Chile lime drizzle)
Baja Shrimp Ceviche(Lime marinated shrimp, avocado, and cilantro lime cream cheese, finished with sesame and Sriracha ranch drizzle.)
The Philadelphia (a classic roll with smoked salmon, cream cheese, cucumber and avocado)
Lastly, the classic California Roll(Crab, cucumber, cream cheese abs avocado)
Of course, I tried the SW Chuck wagon and went for the classic California Roll. After I was told they sold out of California Rolls, I told the bartender to surprise me, and was presented with the Philadelphia Roll.
Presentation was top notch! A great fire the eyes, as much as the pallette.
To daddy these were delicious is quite the understatement.
Individually, all the ingredients looked to be prepared with great care. The synergy achieved together, made the meal what it is.
And, what that is, is an eatery, a dish, and a chef that get my most enthusiastic recommendation!
If you’re dubbing by the small town of Socorro, New Mexico, you certainly should take a small detour and find the M Mountain Grill! You’ll be glad you did.
