Gosh we loved this spot. I mean that green sauce melted my heart like butter. We got the mucho grande meal that came with 3 meats. He will ask if the is your first time. Okay, the shredded chicken was chewy and probably undercooked but that didn’t bother me one bit. My doggies at the chicken and we ate and ate the rest. Big delicious serving for 2!

One more thing, maybe he was the owner, I don’t know, but the LOVE I felt as he gave us our food was beyond words. The love was in the prep, cooking, and delivery of our food. The result of that love was in the flavor!!!You have to experience it for yourself! Period!

Does this place deserve 5 stars? Most likely nit but it does not deserve a one star review either.

Price, The price reflects the reality of the costs to run any business in California.

I dont know if there is only one item on the menu. There is a menu on the wall but the Tamale Man pushed the $22 Combination Tamale plate. Rice Beans Tamale, our choice if meets added on top of the Tamale.

I found the flavors to be great. Good rice and beans, perfect avocado, green salsa. I got two meets both the pork and beef great. The Tamale Masa, light, looks like white corn. A very good Masa. Half an Avocado.

2lbs of food in one plate!

I will be back

Was in Torrance yesterday and had the opportunity to come by this place and try the Super Duper Tamale. This was one of those places I have heard so much about and always see on food review channels so I felt like it was a must try. The man at the front desk was really friendly to my friends and I. He greeted us warmly when we walked in and basically explained that we should get the super duper tamale. He made a very strong case as I do not know any other businesses that sell this food item.

Between three of us, it was definitely still a lot of food, but we were still able to finish it all. It was very good and filling. I am sure you can tell from the name, but the portion is enormous and it even comes with rice and beans. We also ordered some of the fresh watermelon agua fresca they make and it is so refreshing and just the perfect beverage to wash the tamale down with.

The inside of the place is also clean, with several tables to sit and eat at. Also, they have a salsa bar with red and green salsa. They were both spicy which I liked and tasted good with the tamale.

It feels good to be able to support a small business like this one which has made a name for itself through a unique food item. I enjoyed seeing all the awards and plaques and recognition that are on display behind the counter. It did put a smile on my face!

Only going to be rating them based on my experience trying to get the big tamale and a burrito my father ordered. The line did not seem too long when I got there so I decided to wait. Saw a video on TikTok about their big tamale and I thought id give it a shot. Even though the line was not so long, it still took us about 2 and a half hours to order and get our tamales. The big tamale was pretty good, I would split the big tamale between 2 people because I only finished half. At the time I went you had to order the plate combo, you couldn’t just order the table itself. The burrito my father ordered looked really dry and tasted bland unfortunately. Maybe they were focused on the tamales and didn’t pay attention to the burrito as much but it was a bit disappointing. The tamale was good but not worth waiting hours for it. I understand its a small place and hype overcrowded it but I hope people now don’t have to wait over 2 hours for their tamale order.

It changed my life lol. In a major tamale way. I really liked the food. Good flavor and great customer service. Some meats better than others for sure. I wouldn’t recommend triple different meats. Chicken is really good:

It’s all hype sadly the gentleman in the front only lets you choose from the three plates. I asked him for a normal tamale without anything extra he said he wasn’t selling them at the moment that he only had three different sizes that came with the meat if your choice. I wish he at least gave you an option to not have all the extra stuff.

The tamale was good we put carnitas on ours. Honestly huge portions, we paid $25 dollars for one tamale which is enough for two people.

I knew this place wasn’t going to be good because they open late morning at 11am any good tamale spot opens at 5-6am I order a cheese and jalapeno tamale the stuffing was poor very little cheese and one sliver of jalapeno. It is a big tamale but your basically paying for masa. Also order a super dupper chicken verde. They gave me a cheese and jalapeno split it down the middle and put grilled chicken on it and poured on the green salsa and topped it off with a half blackened avocado. Huge disappointment. First and last time.

Tried here after finding it online. At the first point I thought it is an expensive place, BUT it is not at all. The portions are super big, like the burrito can be good for 2 people. They have lingua meat which was great in my opinion.

The Tamale Man was trying to make fun and help to make you laugh. He believes everyday is Friday, so don’t be surprised if he says Happy Friday!
