Arrived half an hour after opening and restaurant was busy. Did get seating. Had fried calamari which was excellent. Lightly coated and tender. Squeezed lemon provided for added flavor, liked it better than the tomato sauce provided. Dinners were crab cakes (2) which were nicely portioned and more crab than filler along with French fries and cole slaw. Other meal was shrimp stuffed with crab in a cream sauce, green beans and rice pilaf. Shrimp tender and stuffing tasty. Sauce good and was not drowning the meal. Green beans fresh and done just right. Pilaf not home made but adequate. Both meals were priced per market. Took leftovers from both meals home. Waiter was very friendly and attentive in a good way. Took peanut butter pie home for dessert which was really good. By the time we left the dining area was full and people were waiting for tables.

YUM!! Everything I had here was great. Their specialty cocktails were awesome and I got the yellowfin tuna for my meal and ate the WHOLE THING! Also the bourbon chocolate chip pecan pie was one of the best pies I’ve ever had.
Our bartender/server was fast and attentive. And we got to hang out on the back porch overlooking the bay while we waited for our table to be ready which was a great way to pass the time.

Beautiful views! Even though it was cloudy and had rained a bit, it was absolutely breathtaking.
Our waitress was very knowledgeable and catered to our party of 6.
The walk upstairs, only place to dine that I was aware of, was a decent set of stairs.
Great time, and everyone enjoyed their dish.

The Food was excellent!
We had the Mahi Rockefeller and The Best Corn & Crab Chowder!!! Waitress was hard to hear and understand (it was partly because of a large party next to us) but she also wasn’t familiar with prices or beverage info… Would definitely go back!

Sandbar and Grille : it was ok! We were seated at a table by the windows so we had a nice view! We ordered the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer that was pretty good! Something different to try!
We shared the shrimp scampi as a meal and it was ok! Will order something new to try the next time we visit! Unfortunately I can’t remember our servers name but she was very helpful.

This place was a bit of a drive from where we’re vacationing in Salvo, NC….definitely worth it though!
Menu is limited…no crab beyond crab cakes. DONT UNDERESTIMATE IT!
I got the Fried Shrimp and asked for it to be crispy and they did!
My son (9) LOVED the Flounder! Perfect kid portions for the price too!
Highly recommend!

The food was okay, but for the price I wouldn’t go back. The amount that our bill was, simply didn’t add up to the prices on the menu and you are never told the “market price” of something until after your dinner. The waitstaff were alright, but when I tried to order a non-alcoholic drink, he didn’t give me options, but rather brought me a strawberry slushie-type thing. It was okay, but I never had a concept of price for it. The view is nice but it gets really loud in the restaurant. My husband also wanted to play an arcade game downstairs and the game only ate his money and told him to pay again.

Great food, children’s arcade/game room on bottom floor and dining room upstairs on the second floor next to the bar. It gets very busy here and the dining room can get a little tight. there is also outdoor seating. The food was amazing. The prices were 30 to $50 per person. We had no complaints about any dish that we ordered everything was 2-hour expectations and the crabs cakes for absolutely delicious! The fish bites made of flounder were so fresh and perfectly battered.
We also have fried green tomatoes and tuna poke. any of the plates that included the crab meat where absolutely be best crab dishes I’ve ever eaten. You can actually taste the fresh crab in the crab cakes and the stuff flounder. We had crab cakes at another local and popular restaurants if you nice before and I will tell you they did not compare to the sand bar and grill crab cakes!!

Amazing family atmosphere with even better food and service! Our waitress Carly was personable and kind, interacting with our son and giving us good recommendations. Food portions are huge and worth the price. We even stayed past closing and the staff didn’t mind one bit. Arcade downstairs, unique mixed drink list, incredible views of the sound. This place is definitely worth checking out, it really has it all!
