We had a nice lunch here yesterday. The service we received from David was outstanding. The atmosphere was pleasant, it was refreshing to not have background music which most restaurants feel is mandatory. It would be better if they didn’t have the large TV playing a reel of hibachi table antics as it is distracting and a bit obnoxious. The food I must say was mixed in quality. The crab salad was excellent as was the salmon nigiri. The fried dumplings were ok but the sauce they came with was delicious. The salmon skin roll and the spicy salmon roll were just ok. The prices were very affordable, I haven’t had a lunch this reasonably (particularly since we split a hit sake) in many years. The restroom was clean but could use an update as the black sink and toilets had lots of mineral staining. Extra credit for serving bottled water.

Great experience! The food and service were good. There was a good amount of food so we had leftovers. Our chef was entertaining and a great cook.

First time I went with my uncle the service and food was amazing, so good I went with my kids a week later and boy was it a let down.
The service was missing the little things that made the first one perfect.
The sushi was like being at a completely different restaurant, seriously would have been better off getting the 5 dollar package at market street on Wednesday.
The smoked salmon roll was gag inducing, it’s like they used cheap seaweed and didn’t let the rice cool down making it super rubbery where you had to pull it out of your mouth as you couldn’t chew it.
kept it at 3 stars as the first time was perfect and the vegetable tempura was still very good the second time.

The sushi is pretty good, The Blue Hawaii roll especially. I haven’t tried the hibachi yet, the servers did a great job and the food we ordered came out in good time.
However both times we’ve been here there’s been live music. The same guy played country music both times and it’s bad. I recommend going on a weekday.

Excellent hibachi service here! I am very big on kind prompt service and it is always a joy to know that the waitress remembers what I order and remembers my takeout order! She is so nice. The hibachi chefs are also very skilled and I can tell they have a great time doing their job. I would recommend a visit here for lunch or dinner. Always delicious! Everyone is all hands on deck! Even if my waitress gets busy, there’s always someone else to make sure your drink is full and aks if you need anything! (Special thanks to the young man with curly hair, I did not catch a name!)

Food was bland with no flavor, steak was tough and chewy, and sushi had no sauce on it. They used to serve wonderful food when they were on 45th and Bell so this is was a shock. We weren’t asked how we wanted our steak meaning well done, medium or whatnot so the steak came back dry and chewy.

Came here with a group of 5 and the wait wasn’t that long. The mushroom soup was delicious. The ginger salad was also good. The hibachi steak although I asked for it medium – the entire table steak came out medium well. The overall server was really good. The rice was good and the noodles were okay. I wish our hibachi experience with the cook was better – everything felt rushed.

⭐☆☆☆☆ **Terrible Experience — Avoid This Place**

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. We went to this sad excuse for a restaurant last night, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. Our party of five adults (plus a young child) waited nearly two hours and never even received food for most of our group. Two of the adults were served, but the rest of us were completely forgotten.

After more than an hour of waiting, we finally asked what was going on—only to find out they had*never entered the rest of our order at all. At first, they told us our food was “just a little behind” and on its way, but that turned out not to be true. Then they even tried to serve us another table’s order—who had just arrived—so that’s when we realized our order had never been placed, or had been given to another party.

After we complained several times and had to flag down multiple people for help because our server had disappeared, we finally got them to put in our order. When they did finally start bringing food, they brought the dishes out one at a time, with more than 30 minutes between each. By that point, four of the six people in our group (including the child) had already left. I asked for my food to be packed to go because everyone else had already left, but they put the meat, vegetables, rice, and noodles all together in one box, turning it into a watery, soupy mess that was completely inedible. Both entrees we were served had to be thrown away.

Even after explaining everything that had happened, our waitress disappeared for another 20 minutes. We had to flag down three different servers just to get our bill—for a meal we never got to enjoy. In the end, we were **extorted for over $70** for an experience that was beyond unacceptable.

Whatever you do, **DO NOT VIST TOKYO STEAKHOUSE in AMARILLO TX.** You’ll wait for hours, get little to no service, and walk away frustrated, hungry, completely ripped off, without an explanation or apology. This was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences we’ve ever had. We waited hours only to have our pockets picked by these people. In the end, we went home, and still had to make our dinner. Don’t waste your time on these clowns.

Went today for my wife’s birthday. Their new location is better. But if you’re going to open maybe have everything available. No alcohol, so couldn’t have our toast! As for the food, it was fair. Small portions. My steak was very chewy and tough ( low quality). For those prices should have been better.

Had a birthday dinner for a special little girl at this place. Enjoyed the grill and chef. I love the show with the onion volcano and fancy knife work. The dinner was good. We’re also had some sushi which was delicious.
