This is the first time here in 3 years, as I said we would not be back after our last time. But we heard there were new owners, so we were going to give it a try.
I got the large fried shrimp with garlic potatoes and there weee out of sweet potatoes, I got 12 large butterfly shrimp and they were delicious.
One friend got the 12 oz ribeye and he said it was very tender. His wife got the large salad with steak.
All great at our table.
But ours in our party got the beef tips and they were over cooked. She sent them back. Hence the 4 stars. I thought about 3 but the service was very good. They really worked to make our experience good.

Let me start by saying I really went in tonight hoping it was back to the level it was when I was a kid. I wanted it to be great again.
It wasn’t. There was a lady who was so angry she threw her drink at the wall and stormed out cussing that she’d just wanted her food.
By the time we left, we weren’t as mad as her but we were really unhappy.
The food took way longer than it should have. The portions on the popcorn shrimp and potato skins were great while the portions on the fish and chips and fried oysters were skimpy for the prices. The potato skins tasted like they’d been cooked in vegetable oil instead… And maybe old oil at that. It was definitely a weird taste for those. The “signature” potatoes were from a box and a small portion for that to be the only side. Crab cakes were good according to our kids but they were really dark.
Our waitress was nice but we had to ask multiple times for everything, from refills to sauce to silverware. We were literally sitting there waiting to eat for five minutes because we had no silverware.
The sign at the door (pictured) should have been a clue it wasn’t going to go well. I do not ever expect people to be mean to a server but I do think it indicates that there are consistent problems if you have to put up a sign. At some point, it’s time to look at training the staff better.
Note: we did see several servers coming and going with their tables at a much faster rate than ours
For a tea, a soda, two waters, the oyster dinner, potato skins app, and seafood platter (3 types of seafood)– it was $75 before tip. There was a $2.70ish credit card fee too which is the highest fee I’ve ever seen for paying with a card.
I was really sad because I have such fond memories of that place growing up but it seems that won’t be the same for my kids.
We will not be back.

Loved everything we tried, had the Sweetheart Bacon appetizer, fresh made pork rinds, flounder and shrimp with deep fried corn on the cob. The salad was fresh and crisp. Every thing was delicious! Faye our server was awesome, took great care of us and was so much fun. We will definitely be back

I went back to this restaurant because I had a bad experience a few years ago and said I would never go back. They have a new menu, new owners… It was absolutely delicious! The only issue I had, is the small pour of wine for $10. Also, it was Sunday, they had special bloody Mary’s but they only use wine instead of vodka on Sundays.

The service was amazing . The Alfredo pasta wasn’t good at all . The cheese appetizer was honestly better than the food . The food is overpriced 35 $ for 4 scallops is upscale restaurant price . We weren’t able to get the river view . We won’t be back

Service was great, the food was great and I will go back. All I asked was before I left there to be a cost difference between a virgin cocktail vs dirty cocktail. I realize they both cost money and I don’t mind spending it but I’m a principle kinda gal. So I think the Virgin should be slightly less but what do I know, either way just my opinion. It won’t keep me from going back and I’ll still recommend it to others and I was glad to have brought my Mom here that was from out of town.

What an amazing place! The beef tips are fantastic! So much flavor that you don’t need steak sauce. Tiffany was awesome as a server and the atmosphere is quaint and comfortable. Solid wine selection and reasonable prices for the quality that is offered. Definitely will be back!

Tiffany our server was so sweet and helpful! She went over the menu options, drinks & appetizers with us. Loved the food, our cocktails and the spicy cheese curds. We arrived about 6 pm on Friday and had no problem with getting seated. A family friendly place too. tef

Great atmosphere! The waitress was very friendly and food came out quick. Steak and burgers are delicious! Must try the potato skins!! Best house made pork skins around! Will be back soon!

The food was so yummy, from the salad/roll to the entrée and sides, shear perfection!! Tiffany was fabulous!! She was busy but still incredibly attentive! It was our first visit but definitely won’t be our last!
