Classic Moroccan grills, couscous dishes & tagines at a cozy venue with tiled tables & lanterns.

Food = unbelievably delicious. Portion sizes = more than generous, a phenomenal value. Service = friendly and welcoming.
Highly recommend starting off with the Brik appetizer, ordering both a couscous dish and tagine. High quality ingredients with unique, robust, and innovative flavors!

I never really leave negative reviews, and I’m not sure this is a completely negative review, but I would not recommend this restaurant. I went previously, and it’s on a list of places I recommend to people traveling, but this last visit was very disappointing. As mentioned in some other reviews, the service is really lacking. I took several friends here to thank one of the friends for her hospitality and had thought we could order 3 tagine and couscous for a group of 5 as none of us were very hungry. When we tried to order, the restaurant owner/proprieter (I believe she was) told us in a very rude fashion, as if we were cheap, that we could not only order three for five people. If that is the restaurant policy, it should be clearly stated ahead, but also it could be said in a way that was not so rude. After that, the service was completely dropped, and only the most expensive items were recommended. I had asked for a carafe of water, which is usually brought at every Parisian establishment promptly and without question, but they only brought the higher ticket items immediately and I had to ask multiple times for a carafe of water as that is what I was drinking. When I got up to ask for the third time after 20 minutes of waiting and after it being promised to come in “1 minute“ they acted as if I was very rude and demanding. All around it set a completely negative tone for a dinner that should’ve been lovely with my friends. The food was fine, but to be honest quite overpriced. Not worth it in the slightest. The only reason I gave two stars for service is because one of the gentleman serving us was helpful in folding and storing my father‘s motorized wheelchair.

Small restaurant and nice ambiance. Nice people but somewhat slow service when all the tables are full.
The entrees were large portions and the couscous was fun to mix yourself.
The clientele was not hipsters and they also have large front sliding door/windows.

Absolutely fabulous. I had a Lamb Tagine with was fragrant and delicious. This restaurant just off the Boulevard Voltaire, Paris, has been serving Moroccan cuisine for forty three years. A total experience, and highly recommended.

This meal was spectacular, one I will remember for some time. The lamb tagine with pears is to die for — piping hot and flavorful with pops of almond crunch in between a perfect balance of sweet and savory. To start, I had the Zaalouk which was hearty, filling, and delicious. In terms of atmosphere… after a long day taking in museums, coming here felt like coming home for dinner. It’s warm and cozy and you can linger pleasantly through the courses. The service was great and put up patiently with my limited French 🙂 Highly recommend!

Went for Saturday lunch with the wife; we really liked this place. On the cozy/convivial end of the spectrum; we hadn’t booked but got there early and glad we did because the joint filled up in a hurry. We enjoyed everything we ordered – chicken tagine with olives and preserved lemon for her, pigeon pastilla for me, plus a lovely, smoky eggplant salad to start. Nice change of pace in the middle of 2 weeks in Europe; easy to imagine returning whenever we’re back in Paris. Highly recommend.

Authentic Moroccan food in Paris! My son had the chicken couscous and I had the chicken tagine with raisins, onions, and honey. This is a dish I’ve had many times in Morocco and also make at home and theirs was just as good! Next time we are in Paris, we will be sure to visit.

The food was terrific, especially the cous cous. We ordered one tagine and one cous cous and shared them. I suggest skipping the appetizers given the generous portions for the main courses. Seating is tight – they really pack people in which detracts from the overall experience. A table or two less on each side would be ideal. It’s expensive but the food was terrific and our waiter very pleasant and helpful.

The owner is delightful!! She has a small dog that roams the restaurant (her “baby” — the pup is 7 years old, she’s def my person!! ) and gives you the most sad doggy eyes, begging for food or pets. Omg, love love love — five stars for this duo! They made the restaurant!! She is French, but she said her husband (who died) was Moroccan, and she loved the food. ❤️ She gets 5*!
Unfortunately, her helper gets 1*. He clearly wasn’t a waiter because the owner would not let him take orders…) fulfilled all the dates/bad stereotypes of French waiters. He told the same jokes to every table. He refused to refill our water. And in the middle of doing something for our table, he would stop and talk to some random person on the street or whatever. If I tried to catch his eye, he would deliberately and purposefully look straight past me. Eventually, I gave up and delegated the flagging down to my husband.
Four stars for the food because the meeguez was excellent, the harissa was spicy, and the tagines that we got were very well cooked! Super authentic and delish. But there were only 3 tagines on the menu!! I would have loved to see more!

This is a warm, cozy restaurant. Feels like you’re in someone’s kitchen—a family affair. The food is delicious. Service was a little impatient toward us given we weren’t fluent in French. Also they seemed a little annoyed with each other—maybe because only two of them for a whole restaurant. That added to the family vibe in a strange way! Because it’s a tight space, they moved us around in our seats, based on how big or small we were—not our favorite thing—then gave us attitude when we seemed miffed. Overall, I enjoyed it—felt like an experience. My adult kids liked it, my husband was more put off by the attitude.:)
