That’s just how we roll. At our Hot Bar, you’re the boss of the sauce. Add a hint of heat, a touch of sweet, or douse your dish with a five-alarm fire. Our Hot Bar is loaded with an assortment of tangy, smoky, sweet, and spicy sauces. Tijuana Flats’ entrées include burritos, burrito bowls, chimichangas, dos tacos, flautas, fresh salads, nachos, and quesadillas. Hubby and I had the dos tacos, double stacked. They were delicious! I had beef, he had blackened chicken. It was fun to try the hot sauce bar. Steve was super friendly and explained things. Her later walked around, filming everyone’s drinks in the lobby. Spectacular customer service! Ambiance was fun and colorful.

Service is great! When I went in it was a two-man shop. Alex was running the front. She was doing a great job. I assume the manager was running the back. He was also cooking. The place: Very good decor, nice bright colorful, the ambiance Is good.
The problem is the food, I hope some is good but the mango shrimp taco is not again. Please note this is Tex-Mex, not traditional Mexican. But I like Tex-Mex, I lived in Texas for several years. I was disappointed in the food.
I did enjoy the ambiance and the great service. The manager and Alex were very attentive.

It’s Taco Tuesday! ($7.99) We have made this our weekly dinner out. Love the 2 soft taco’s with Steak (extra $) and chips but it’s my favorite. The staff is patient and professional. Restaurant is always clean. The décor is bright and inviting. Two televisions are on in the main dining area. If you’re lucky Bob Ross on the tv painting, LOL. Music is at a nice noise level. You can actually have a conversation and your other half can hear you.
Sitting outside is available but when it cools off, we’ll sit out there. Definitely a good amount of food for the price. Hot sauce and sissy sauces are available on the condiment bar. The staff always check on us and offers to get refills. Next Tuesday, we’ll be back!

Dined in today for lunch and had a great experience. Ordered the chicken tinga chimichanga and it was very good. Chips and salsa where good too. I really like the sauce bar. It was fun trying different sauces. My favorite was the “smack my a** and call me sally”. Staff was friendly and I also like the cool atmosphere here.
Edit 7/3/2022. Don’t recommend getting the Spicy Habanero Carnitas Burrito, especially to go. It was cold and very watery. Covered the entire bottom of the to-go plate. Made the burrito bottom soggy as well as the nachos. Had to eat the burrito with a fork and knife and only half of the nachos.

Eat here at your own risk. My husband had the steak tacos and was in the emergency room 3 hours later looking like he was about to die. Never again.

Agh! Let me start by saying, I’ve eaten from Tijuana Flats for several years. Me and my family used to be regulars at the Sheridan street location in Hollywood, FL. I love this restaurant. Good food, good prices, nice family atmosphere, the hot sauce bar. Good stuff.
But, this location is not up to par. I’ve ordered from this location now about 5-7 times, and I’m not exaggerating when I say every single time there’s been a problem with the order.
I order curbside, and no one ever comes out. I order a meal and they forget the drinks. I order queso and they leave out the chips.
Literally, every single time I’m disappointed with my experience. I’ve given them the benefit of the doubt, and ordered again based on my past experiences with this chain. But I’m always disappointed.
Tonight I ordered food for my family, and was pleasantly surprised to find that everything was included when I double checked the bag for accuracy. But now, as I’m eating my vegetarian black bean bowl, I bite into beef.
(Sheesh, talk about first world problems.)
But seriously, when I spend my money I want to have an enjoyable experience, and that has simply never been the case for me at this location of TJ Flats.

What a pleasant meal that was! Sydney was great. She was very personable, smiled the whole time, presented herself in such a way as to suggest she actually likes her job (a rare quality, indeed) and went above and beyond, checking with all the customers in the lobby to make sure their needs were met. 10/10!
