The Sportsman Inn is a casual lakeside restaurant that features: a broad American menu, family friendly atmosphere, outdoor dining, sports bar, catering and more. Our most popular dish is The Sportsman’s Famous Fish, but we offer other great dishes including our fresh cut steaks, out of this world wings and The World’s Greatest Pork Chop (our guests suggested the name). Come by boat and sit at the Tiki bar during the warmer months or stop by and catch your favorite team on the tvs by the fireplace. We have something for everyone.

I ordered firecracker shrimp and it was disappointing and underwhelming. It was just soaked in sweet BBQ sauce. Our waiter agreed and had it get remade. Which was great of him, 2nd time it came out it was still the same sauce with a little baby kick of spice and less shrimp. Its not the same as it was 6 months ago or so, where it was made with buffalo sauce or something to make u take a drink after.

Been having date night and or occasions here for nearly a decade- very special place! Was grateful for Sara C taking care of me and my forever best friend- and everyone else that came to see her and visit! Wondered food and atmosphere and friends! Sara did amazing (as usual!) thank you!

We really enjoy this restaurant and we went back to Monticello because of it. The Lakeview, the food and the service is just very good. It is not fancy but totally enjoyable. We always order fish because well just because it’s the best!

They have a really delicious breaded tenderloin along with some excellent mozzarella bread bites. Nice atmosphere with view overlooking the water . Waitress was pretty attentive.
However, it was not mentioned if you got anything but chips it was extra and she also did not mention it was extra to have cheese on the wrap. We will still go back in the area . We just have to remember you get charged extra for certain things .

Prime rib melts in your mouth. We sat with our table facing the river. Staff was good. Food was excellent. We went early around 3pm, parking was easy, not very busy and the view was great. Definitely worth the trip.

Nice restaurant with water view. Nice varied menu. Our server, Amanda W. was very attentive. The kitchen staff needs to step up. Food was just average. Our coconut shrimp appetizer was just shy of being burned, the pasta dishes were watery and the prime rib needed seasoning.

My best friend’s parents own a lake house up in Indiana and we come up here every year during the spring and summer for little vacations.

The food, the service, and the atmosphere are always spot on near to perfection. When you are dining inside or outside, you will experience a great meal, most definitely wanting you to come back for more!!
This last afternoon when we were at this fine establishment we had the Firecracker Shrimp, cold buckets of Miller Lite, Coors Light and Bud wiser, the garlic parmesan wings, fish and chips and I believe we took a few pizzas to go!
All of the entrees were superb in their own way.
I highly recommend them!!!
So get some friends or family together, go have some lunch or dinner and a great time up at the Sportsman Inn. You will not be disappointed!

I had an absolute phenomenal experience! The food was amazing and the view made it even more pleasant. Our server was absolutely spectacular! He was very tentative, very friendly, and we even watched him trying to help out with his coworkers and their customers as he went by. Joshua W. Overall fantastic waiter and we will be back!

Was great place to check out. The bar was very lively, and the rest of the dinning area looked very nice. The food was amazing a little pricey to add shrimp to a dish but the did not short me on the shrimp so i appreciate that a lot.

It’s a fairly decent restaurant. It’s not fancy and the prices (without alcohol) are decent, $69 for the 4 of us. The service was fine. We all got the fried Haddock and you get a huge amount of food. The best part is the view of the Tippecanoe river. There is outside seating available, seasonally.
