& they gave us our appetizer after we got our main
still it was quite clean nice people
When we sat down we asked our server what is good (they have a nice well rounded menu) and he said that they were known for their burgers. We started off with a plate of fried cheese curds to share, and ordered four burgers (the smuggler, curd is the word, wild Bill’s, and a cheesy American).
The curds were great and disappeared quickly. The burgers were big and super delicious. For sides, we got fries, tots, and Cole slaw. All were good and my wife declared that it was the best Cole slaw she had ever eaten.
Our server was also the bartender. He was busy but still managed to check in on us regularly and gave us great service.
Great food, will definitely return the next time we are in town.
There were some dining tables available on the outside as well as plenty of seating inside, they had no difficulty in seating a family of four right away. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and it did seem to get busier while we were there, but not crowded.
Our five year old was given crayons and a kids menu. She ordered the buttered noodles and fries (I know I know, not the healthiest) and finished Every. Single. Bite. Parents, that’s a win for me, cleaned the plate!! Money well spent in my eyes. Oh! Kids eat for $5 by the way, everyday! That’s cheaper than a happy meal friends.
Okay now the adults had burgers and fish tacos. All were amazing. The burger menu has endless options with different flavors, but I went with a mushroom Swiss burger and others ordered the butterfly bleu and fish tacos. The buns were toasted perfectly and you had the option of either a quarter or half pound burger. They make it fresh and you can taste that. The burgers were served with delicious crispy fries and the tacos came with rice and beans.
We also had 10 barrel IPAs with our meal (not the child obviously, but she did cheers with her juice)
There were so many things I want to come back and try, French onion soup, garlic nachos, a chicken pot pie. Take my money!
Lastly, our server was incredibly sweet, patient and helpful. Thank you so much for the positive experience at Cornucopia.
Maybe the foodie in me expected more, but rightfully so when I’ve had great food for less.
Still worth trying. Some of their other menu options seemed like they’d be worth trying.
Was told that our chicken pot pie was delicious and fresh!
Attn: Chef- go easy on the BBQ sauce on the Ohana burgers and switch up the bread. Hamburger buns usually aren’t so flaky and dry .
Paul, our waiter for the afternoon, was fantastic. He was friendly, gave great food recs and shared about the restaurant history. Definitely enhanced our dining experience.
We tried the Smuggler and the Ohana Keene burgers, and they were both amazing. Juicy, flavorful, unique, spicy, sweet, crunchy, soft… it hit every mark! It’s easy to see why Cornucopia has won numerous awards for their burgers. Everything is homemade. Their ranch and buffalo sauce were awesome!!
Overall, we had a fantastic time at Cornucopia and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Eugene. We will definitely be back!
