I ordered a burger with a gluten-free bun because I have a serious gluten sensitivity, but I was given a regular wheat bun instead. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize until after taking a tiny bite. I spit it out but I’ve been feeling a bit unwell since, which is what happens when I’m exposed to gluten. Brain fog, nauseous, elevated heart rate, I ordered it at 5:55pm but didn’t open the order til about 9 bc I had errands to run- so I couldn’t call and request a remake. I should have checked before I left but they’re usually really good about gluten free buns, the girl on the phone even asked me if I wanted the fries gluten free to which I said yes.
Mistakes happen, but if I hadn’t noticed it could have been much more serious. For a lot of people, including myself, getting dosed with Gluten can be debilitating. Please make sure orders marked as “gluten-free” are handled separately and verified before serving.
I will contact the restaurant and hope to receive a refund, but more importantly I just wanted to post the review as a warning to other gluten free customers- it’s not a dietary CHOICE it’s a SAFETY situation. I hope staff receive proper allergy-awareness training. Cross-contact and labeling mistakes like this can cause real harm. If you are Celiac or Gluten Intolerant like myself please check the food before you leave the restaurant, it would be nice to trust that this establishment can handle it but it’s just not worth the risk, human error is inescapable. For the price of the food I’d expect more accuracy but what can you do.

Great burger joint with many choices especially for those not desiring beef. You order at the counter and food is freshly prepared. We ordered the double burger not realizing that the single one is like totally huge. It was massive!!!!!! I got mine on a lettuce wrap and it was well prepared. It is a bit pricey but the food has great quality. It’s located across from Mall of Georgia and outdoor seating is also available.

I wanted to like this experience as I’ve been here before and had a pretty good experience but my burger was made incorrectly. When it came back out, the correct way, the cheese looked like it had just been slapped on as it wasn’t melted at all and the burger was cold. I ended up taking it home to warm it up to make it palatable. This was very disappointing for a $12 burger. I won’t be back again.

My girlfriend and I have loved Burger 21 for at least the past 5 years and service and food has always been good. We went last Tuesday night around 7 pm to get dinner. My girlfriend has a gluten allergy and reall5 enjoys the gluten free bun option along with the gluten free fry option as well. On this occasion, the cashier informed us that the gluten free bun option was not available. She checked about thr fry option, which also was not available. I understand that the cooks don’t want to stay late after work, but that should be no excuse for if a guest has gluten allergies. We both know that those obviously had been cleaned for the night (even though you were still open for another 2 hours). I am very upset and disappointed after all the amazing service we have received in the past. I really thought Burger 21 was different from all the other places, but I guess some things never last. It’s really a shame that now guest service and satisfaction is going down because the employees don’t want to stay late nd actually accommodate the guests who have issues and don’t have as many dining options at times. Hopefully, you will do better, but it doesn’t seem like it will actually happen. We did not dine with you on this occasion either due to the lack of gluten free options.

I just purchased a bean/ veggie burger, they had like 8+ different sauces, the vegetables on the burger was very crispy and tasted fresh. And all I had was a sandwich which I’ll come back next time for something different, very good, I like the apple cider sauce and thai ketchup.

I love the burgers at Burger 21! I’ve tried a few of them and have enjoyed them all. The specialty toppings are flavorful (specifically the short rib on my last visit) and I love the variety of sauces on the sauce bar.

Love these burgers! They have a great sauce bar and yummy fries. So many options to choose from. We went in Cheesy Wednesday and got the 9.99 special. A great place tucked in the middle of all the shopping. We were too full to try the shakes, but they looked great. The sweet potato fries were delicious.

A gem of a find. A perfect fix after 10k steps in the nasll. Didn’t expect it to be this good! And the sauces, my favorites are the apple cider and 21 sauce, I would go back even just to eat their fries and sauces! The burgers were not greasy, and the bean pattie was a rock star.
