Sub par Thai at best. When we placed our order, the service was not great and she hung up the phone without saying thank you or goodbye. We ordered the beef drunken noodle and chicken/shrimp which were both bland. We also ordered the red curry with Shrimp, it was very watery but had an ok flavor. The papaya salad was fresh, but also not very flavorful. We asked for thai chili oil on the side and they don’t serve it, so we opted for Thai chili powder, what we received was not Thai chili powder, it looked and tasted like crushed red pepper that you put on pizza. Overall, we were not pleased and will take our business elsewhere that is more authentic.

After reading the other reviews of this place, I had pretty high hopes, but unfortunately, it was just ok. I should probably leave a 3 star review, but I’m keeping it at 4, because they do have solid to-go containers that keep your food warm for a long time.
First off, it looks like they raised their lunch specials from $15 to $17, which is fine in this economy I guess, but with tax & tip $20 is no longer enough here for lunch.
I got the Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles) with chicken & the pad Thai with chicken. The flavor in the noodles were all good & the chicken portions were solid, but my pad Thai had no bean sprouts or peanuts in it & it was advertised on the menu. The drunken noodles also had no vegetables, which I’m not used to, but the flavor was good.
I will be back, but I recommend eating inside & asking for extra vegetables with whatever you decide to order.

A fantastic place! My partner’s favorite in town. They honor the spice level you request, and they are delightfully efficient. Great portions, flavors, and noise level (ie not glaringly loud! Wonderful). We really enjoy eating here. The fried tofu is a consistent order for us. Highly recommend.

Definitely one of the best Thai spots in the Denver area! The service is fast and attentive, and the portion sizes are very generous. My go-to dishes are the basil fried rice and drunken noodles (not pictured)!

I have tried many Thai restaurants in the Denver metro area over the years and I am so thankful to finally have found the best spot to get some amazing authentic Thai food. I’ve been going to Aung’s for a year now and finally getting around to writing a well deserved review with some great pics. The service is always quick, welcoming and friendly. The food by far has always hit the right spot and been delicious!!! Hands down the best Thai in Denver. I’ve tried at least 10 different menu items and have been pleased with every one of them. The Pad Thai is my favorite with Pad Prik King being a close second. Don’t pass this place up and go support a family owned authentic place to eat. Hope you enjoy their food as much as I do.

3.5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Family owned Thai restaurant. Service is great and staff is friendly. The food in my opinion was ok. Although I do recommend you go check it out as most folks think this is the best Denver based Thai restaurant – this is only my second Thai place in Denver so I don’t have much to compare against.
It doesn’t seem vegetarian or vegan friendly when it comes to appitizers but entrees seem to be ok.
The Tofu Larb was decent not anything special has its cubes tofu. If you have had chicken Larb before you know traditionally it’s minced chicken but can’t be replicated for tofu.
Veg spring rolls were good and crispy and will recommend. The drunken noodles and pad Thai were bland and could use some more flavor perhaps more salt and spice.

Excellent. Ordered Crispy Tofu, Pork Red Curry, and Chicken Tom Kha. Crispy Tofu was evenly crispy and bite-sized and the chili sauce w/ peanut that came with it was good. The Red Curry was great as well: pork and vegetables were perfectly tender. The highlight of the meal was the Tom Kha. This is the best Tom Kha I’ve ever tasted. The broth was a delicious blend of coconut and kroeung-like spices. The spice, saltiness, and sourness were well balanced. Will be returning to try more items on the menu.

Go. Here. The Mussamun curry was exceedingly wonderful. Both the portion and the flavor were pleasing; I had leftovers of tender pork, crunchy peanuts, and delicate potatoes and onions. The spice level was accurate to what I ordered.
Our waters never ran too low, and the appetizer came out at a good interval before the main course. All in all—excellent service by an overworked dining room staff (just one person)!
The fried tofu was also a great dish. I wish they would use a slightly softer tofu, but the sauce was really good.

I wish I absolutely loved this place. Service is mediocre, nobody greets you, I had placed an order ahead of time, and there was at least five people that picked up before me, and still multiple order just left on the counter. I’d be cool with that, but the food was just not awesome. Super salty (I love salt so it’s a rare complaint for me), but the crab cheese wontons were worth it. The pad Thai was terrible, fish sauce, and noodles. No other flavor.
I’ve eaten here twice, I don’t think I’m gonna go back. It’s so unfortunate, cause I heard such great things about this place.

We mostly enjoyed our food at Aung’s. The Thai egg rolls were very heavy and breaded, not really what we were expecting. The pad see ew was good, but not spectacular. The service was very good and food was quick to come out. A decent place to eat a quick lunch if you’re craving Thai.
