Sammy’s family has been running this for over 20 years. Geralyn was a terrific server. She visited our table frequently and took care of our every need. She was professional and very patient.
The pizza and soup of the day was awesome.
Customers kept pouring in all evening and lots of to go clients as well. We came across one couple who said they frequent this restaurant every single week! I can see why!

Being born in a taxi cab in the village in New York and raised in Brooklyn lived all my life over there I decided to throw in the towel and moved to Ocala with my wife I paid my dues and got tired of New York and then I found this pizzeria gem in Ocala not far from where me and my wife are and to be honest with you the tradition and delicious pizza and restaurant dishes at Sammy’s is outstanding!!! I was very lucky to find this mom and pop pizzeria wouldn’t trade it in a heartbeat Love it! I had the honor a meeting Paulie and congratulated him The staff is great The food is out of this world I love their sauce their muscles fried Diablo sauce not to mention that regular sauce is out of this world excellent Italian old fashioned delicious dinners do yourself a favor and have a cannoli for dessert another Jem in flavor and taste! Thank you for bringing the tradition and flavor of Brooklyn New York keep up the great work My wife and I are so happy we found such a great Italian old fashioned style pizzeria restaurant!

We’ve always enjoyed going to Sammys for dinner or lunch. The service is always top notch and the aromas wafting through the dining room are so tantalizing! Tonight I ordered a pizza for pickup on my way home from a long day. It was ready when they said it would be, piping hot and just waiting for my arrival. Again, those aromas hit you as you walk through the door…..almost wished we had decided on dine in. My son loves New York style and the first thing he commented was, I really like the crust. Im a thick crust person and I will say, those edges were perfectly delicious!!!! Just the right amount of char, chewy and tender….yummy!!! If you haven’t been there…I urge you to enjoy their hospitality, you’ll soon become a regular. And try their chicken parm, my fav dine-in. Bring a big appetite and plan to take some home. The portions are incredible! I love our local dining!

I’m so happy we stopped here to give Sammy’s Italian restaurant and pizza a try! Hands down the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to. I would be willing to travel far just to dine in here again.
From the moment we called on the phone to ask ahead for reservations, which is not needed, to the overall food experience. We had a table waiting for us once we arrived to the restaurant. The owner of the restaurant was there, he was so pleasant.
Our waiter Anika was wonderful, very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the restaurant and food menu selections.
We had their calamari, lasagna, pasta and tried their pizza!
It’s been a long time I’ve not seen great hospitality with delicious food as a combo! Their sauces are family recipes you can taste the difference between a franchise and Sammy’s Italian. Keep up the great work!

I’m obsessed with this pizza place! After driving by it countless times, my husband finally brought home a pie that blew me away. The moment it came out of the box, the aroma was incredible. The flavors are spot on, with a simple yet rich sauce and the freshest ingredients. We can’t wait to dine in and experience the full atmosphere. Their New York-style pizza is a must-try – the crust is airy, flaky, and full of flavor. You can taste the love and care that goes into each pie. Highly recommend! Service is great! Food is delicious! Chicken Parmesan Pasta and Spagetti with White Clam Sauce were both Fantastic! Also the Italian Wedding soup, Cesar Salad and Bread were amazing too. Highly recommend!
