The Nachos was fine the guacamole wasn’t the best and had a lot of red onions for some reason.
I believe its more of a bar food and not that quantity food.
Good thing beer is at a good price!
The other thing I didn’t like is that they push you to pay as quickly as possible which is not very polite I can ask for the bill when I am ready.
The outside patio was nice since the weather was fine.
We were intrigued by their happy hour appetizer specials and Wednesday taco special.
First things first. Our waitress was really attentive and pleasant. She kept us updated on our meals and must’ve easily refilled my water like 5 times. She did a great job, but I can’t remember her name.
We ordered some sliders, nachos and tacos. The sliders were average and exactly what one should expect, the nachos were pretty good and alot larger than the waitress let on. The tacos (steak) were below average. These came in some kind of a marinade that I just didn’t care for. They were filling though.
Very surprisingly, the standout here was the macaroni and cheese that we ordered for my son off the kids menu. The portion was large enough that 3 of us picked at it and there was still plenty leftover to take home. It was creamy and delicious. Who knew a bar would have mac and cheese like that?
Having worked in the area and driven by hundreds of times, I know from reading the sign that they have trivia nights and the whole Queen of Hearts thing for community events. There’s also a fairly sizable outdoor patio for dining as well.
My trip to Beacon was enjoyable and I cite the mac and cheese and service as the high spots. When factoring in everything about my visit I feel 4 stars is accurate.
Love that my fist time here last week I was able to join the queen of hearts with the chance to win . I was called the next day that I didn’t win the pot but I did win two tickets to tonight’s drawing that I’m about to head on the highway to be there to buy more tickets for the drawing.
Nice place to hang out on a Saturday night. Typical bar type atmosphere. Plenty of seating.
Service-wise, it was a bit of a letdown too. Despite the waiter’s efforts, it felt like a struggle to get our water refilled. A slower pace and lack of attention affected the overall dining experience.
The nachos also fell short of expectations—stale chips and limited topping choices for vegetarians. So did the cookie skillet — it tasted burnt and didn’t have the best flavor!
The only good thing was the cheese curds, but I don’t see myself returning for one thing off the menu!
The restaurant ambiance was lively but loud, and the space felt a bit cramped, not providing the most comfortable setting for a meal.
Overall, my first visit to Beacon Tap was just okay. The pizza missed the mark, and with the underwhelming service, less-than-impressive nachos, and the noisy, confined atmosphere, I’m not quite inclined to plan a return visit.
