This place is hidden away, but really worth finding. We arrived at the restaurant right at 9am. Good thing. By 9:30 it has a waiting list of people.
It’s hard to find the exact things that give this place such a high rating. The coffee isn’t bitter or sour. It’s just right. The hash browns are crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. The sausage isn’t sweet or too heavy on the sage. The eggs are cooked perfectly. The servers are first class. This place is just a winner in every category.

Hidden gem for sure. Hard to find little place in a what appears to me a more business style complex. You are definitely transported into a more homestyle cottage like environment upon entering. Huge menu! Amazing cinnamon rolls and breakfasts so big you can take half of it home. I had the chicken fried steak and asked for stuffed hash browns. Uhhhmazing! Don’t sleep on this place. It’s worth the hunt.

Generous portions, friendly staff. Good service. The hash browns are crispy, as is the bacon. The breakfast burritos are huge. The dining area is small. We shared a table with another couple and had a delightful conversation with them. The cinnamon rolls are okay but a decent price. I would go back!

This was my first time here, really small place! The service was great, the food was good, but for a $16 “special” I got the apple carmel French toast which you can see by the picture, was literally 2 pieces of regular bread. The portions for this meal didn’t match the price. My friend on the other hand got the skillet and it was on point! I will be back!

Chefs Hut has some excellent food, great service and good prices. You get lots of food for the price and it is really good.

Location is a little different, located in a warehouse area, but it’s clean, plenty of parking and easy to get to.

Inside it’s old fashioned, little tight, but it works. I had the country scramble and it was delicious. If you are looking for a great breakfast spot for good prices and great service, this is your spot.

Never eaten here before. Ordered online for carry out. Staff was friendly and thorough. Wait was 20 minutes for corned beef hash, which I discovered as soon as I got back to the office is the CANNED stuff you get from the grocery store. Fifteen dollars and a twenty minute wait for canned food is absolutely atrocious. This place has no business having “chef” in the name and should be ashamed charging for canned corned beef. If I wanted Libby corned beef, I’d buy it for $3 and fry it myself.

My wife and I been living here in Boise for last two years and we live literally down the street. I never noticed the sign on S Cloe Rd until this morning as i walked passed it. I got home my wife said go to breakfast, I said sure there a place down street. This place is small we waited for a table. As we waited for our food i asked the waitress how long as the place be here she said fifty-one years (Wow) the breakfast my wife and ordered was delicious. It’s worth the wait for a table. Prices are not bad either. Operating hour are 6am-2pm. 8/16/25

Brunch at the Chef’s Hut. Comfort food is delicious, and the service is friendly and superb. We were there on a Saturday around 11:30 and obtained a table outside with a few minutes wait. Everything we ordered was delicious. Eggs Benedict, breakfast burrito, and cinnamon roll. Cinnamon roll is a must-try, it’s large enough for 2-4 persons to split, but so yummy you may want it all to yourself . I had the burrito, and finished 1/2. Recommend checking out this hidden gem and be sure to bring a good appetite for the large portion sizes.

If you haven’t been here. I would recommend checking it out! We got the jalapeno burger, eggs Benedict, one biscuit and gravy. And a cinnamon roll to go.
Burger was insanely foodgasmic. You can taste every ingredient! The cheese crust just puts the crispy crunch I love in my food.
The Eggs Benny had full flavors too! Complementary to each ingredient. Creamy hollandaise sauce, salty Canadian bacon, and soft English muffins.
The biscuits and gravy was tasty. Should try it. Biscuits were crumbly. I prefer doughy. And gravy was very good. I added a dash of Tabasco and black pepper for my preference.
Overall, I’d say this is a gem for Boise. Hours may be a little restrictive to busy bodies during the morning to mid day but plan it in!

Super cute place!! It’s definitely a hole in the wall but I’m so glad I came! We came in and got to pick our own seats. Service was pretty much immediate since it wasn’t too busy. I got the cinnamon roll and the stuffed French toast. The cinnamon roll was kind of bread-y but the icing was good! I loved the French toast and it looked awesome! Good prices and love the atmosphere. Will hopefully come back soon! I would love to support a cute place like this.
