Best meal while visiting York! Had the corn fritters and Kuay Teow Kee Mao with crispy pork belly. So delicious! My partner is vegan and had the pad Thai made vegan. Lots of options on the menu for veggie and vegan dishes. Tammy was our waitress and she was so kind and helpful—thank you Tammy!

Beautiful location and cosy place.
We were welcomed although we were there 5 minutes before their opening times.
My partner has Food intolerances and many many food restrictions but the kind staff and chef did cook something simple plain and suitable and she enjoyed it .
Mine was beautiful as well .
I recommend this place and will be back when re visit York .

We came here during our trip to York, and the food was delicious!! We had 1 beef Pad Thai, 1 tofu bad Thai, prawn crackers and spring rolls, 2 sprites and 1 Chang Beer, and paid just over £60. Nice, intimate atmosphere, food came out very quickly and staff were very helpful and polite! Would recommend 100%

Possibly the best massaman curry we have had (a pork belly and a veg & tofu ) . Food was delicious and staff were so friendly and polite, they were always smiling. We would definitely eat here again if we were to visit York again. Thank you.

I was really looking forward to dining at Tah Tien, the reviews were quite positive. The restaurant is small and smelt really greasy, I should’ve left quietly but as I said it’s a small place.
I ordered Pad Thai with chicken, which came with turnips, tofu and bean sprouts. The dish was very oily and there wasn’t much vegetables and no tofu. I should’ve had tofu with vegetables because the chicken tasted old and it was dry. Sadly they didn’t have and broccoli, so I had the aubergine with garlic and chilli, which was tasty but again very greasy.
The service was friendly but the food wasn’t great.

Authentic and delicious Thai food in a small but well laid out street food style restaurant. Super friendly service and enjoyed a good chat with our host as we reminisced on our visit to Thailand, sharing some stories of his local area and other parts of Thailand.
Walk in was easy and the food was very reasonably priced, well worth a visit if you want some great food and service.

Amazing find ! Superb food , superb helpful staff and a lovely cosy place. We’ll definitely return whenever we are in York.

Food was super good, staff were really friendly even though it was very busy. Defo book as people were being turned away without booking. the Kow Soi was really rich and creamy. Really recommend!

Great lunch with set menu for less than 10£. You chose the dish, decide the meat or tofu, and enjoy it. We got green curry with chicken and red curry with beef, and as dessert pineapple fritters with ice-cream. All was delicious: crunchy tasty veggies and perfectly cooked meat, cold beers and kind service. We added 2 beers and a dessert and we spent about 35£ for lunch for 2 people.
