This place has excellent Bar type food. My wife LOVED the Nachos Clams and Wings. My meatball sub was very good as well. The place was crowded will Locals and is kept very clean. Our waitress Olivia was great as well.

What a cute place! Food was really good, Barbara was amazing and took very good care of us! Big indoor area and a nice outdoor patio. The only drawback to the outdoor area is the traffic, it can be loud sometimes. Lots of choices on the menu, the appy pretzels were great! Our table ordered wings and pizza, all of it was delicious! Will definitely go back!

Our server was phenomenal! Super happy and friendly and helpful! She even took our cheesecake and put it in the fridge and brought it back out at the end with candles for my father’s birthday. I ordered the Mona Lisa – a pesto chicken sandwich. I planned to be good and eat only half, but that wasn’t possible because it was so delicious! The chicken was juicy and the cheese, peppers, and sauce just all combined so perfectly on a fresh ciabatta roll. Delicious! I have family in the area and hope to visit again for dinner! Thank you!

I ordered a Black Bean burger, and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. I think it is because of the added avocado and BBQ sauce. It gave the burger the extra kick in flavor. Also, my wife and I found the prices reasonable.
We sat outside and loved the way deck was set up.

I recently visited Detzi’s Tavern in Wind Gap for their popular Wing Wednesday. Arriving at 1 PM, I found the restaurant bustling with patrons, yet the atmosphere remained lively and welcoming. Despite the crowd, the service was prompt and efficient, with our food arriving in a timely manner.
The wings lived up to their reputation—flavorful and cooked to perfection. I also tried the pretzel sticks, which were warm, soft, and paired well with the accompanying dip. The dining area is spacious, and there’s an option for outdoor seating, which adds to the overall pleasant experience.
Detzi’s Tavern offers a family-friendly environment, making it a great spot for gatherings or casual meals. I look forward to returning and exploring more of their menu offerings.

Taking 2 stars for the soggy flour crust I was given and charged $2 dollars extra with my pizza that was supposed to be cauliflower crust. When I pointed this out to the waitress about the mistake, she kinda scolded me telling me cauliflower still has dough. No it doesn’t. It’s cauliflower, cheese and egg.
Everything else was mediocre.
My husband ordered 12 wings and an order of fries for his entree. Six were brought out, then about 20 minutes later the other 6 and fries that clearly sat under a heat lamp were brought out.
The cheese steaks were ok.
I recommend trying the spicy shrimp soup, it was good.

Chalk it up to the kitchen staff where all this food originates!!
I’m a local and have frequented this tavern many times and enjoyed delicious meals but todays visit was lacking on a few levels.
The chicken Parmesan cutlet was substantial but lacked seasoning and the spaghetti was average, reheated and sub par. ($16)
The cheesesteak lacked taste, asked for cheese and noticed none. ($11)
A couple of pieces of cheese would have made ALL the difference.
The salad was fresh and topped with a nice assortment.
The most disappointing was the greasy, boxed, frozen shrimp, over sauced Cole slaw and those French fries were mediocre, frozen and over fried and first time in years I added salt to my fries. ($14)
I would rather have 4 FRESH Battered SHRIMP than 9 over breaded mini variety.
It’s the sign of the times when bars and taverns have to cut costs somewhere and food instead of alcohol always gets the short end of the stick.
They present a menu that folks can stop in and dine out within the budget although the prices do not reflect quality of food
Beer is king here!

Located in Wind Gap originally settled by the Dutch and German immigrants “Die Wind Kapf”, this Slate Belt landmark establishment has been here since 1960 off of Route 512. Formerly a family business, Detzi’s Tavern is now under a new owner. It’s a basic local sports bar and restaurant, accommodated by surrounded TVs serving comfort food. Upon entering without reservation on Black Friday, local sports history is displayed throughout the two dining rooms, with plenty of tables filled with patrons. There’s also outdoor patio seating available when the weather is agreeable. Despite a short wait, my partner, his family and I were seated at a table for four. There was a nice variety on the menu, consisting of burgers, wraps, salads, cheesesteaks, wings, pizza, and entrees. A separate menu featured the specials of the day. We decided on Veggie Wrap, California Burger, Black Bean Chipotle Burger, and Trattoria Burger. As a side, we ordered the sweet potato fries and onion rings. All entrees were well prepared, tasty, and of nice size. It can get very busy and noisy, but it is a sports bar after all. We can continue to recommend this place.

We stumbled on this wonderful little family style pub / restaurant while visiting family in the area. After a quick glance of online reviews we settled on Detzi’s because we liked the reviews and the well maintained 1980’s look we saw in the pictures. We were not disappointed. The food here is simply fantastic. It’s also very reasonably priced. As for the service, it was excellent and the restaurant is very clean and well cared for. Detzi’s is very reflective of the folks who live in this area, warm and inviting with no pretense. If you’re ever in the Wind Gap / Stroudsburg area check this wonderful place out, you won’t be disappointed.
