My friend and I had a great time here. The serveur was super friendly, and even gave an English version of the menu along with the French one! Food was fantastic, the steak cooked just right and the sauce had a lot of subtle flavours. Dessert was a highlight, opulent and sinful and delicious! 10/10 recommend.

An amazing meal! The flavours were well balanced and complimented each dish beautifully. Great wine list, excellent friendly staff, would definitely go again. As a chef, this is the type of restaurant I love.

Beautiful place to have a nice calm and quiet meal. I had the carpaccio and tartare. They were delicious. The entire experience was simple, sweet, delicious and delightful. I would go back

Hubby got ricotta antipasti, and scallop pasta as main, he loved both! Scallops were fresh!
I got the foie gras appetizer (been craving), and duck as main. I finished both, that’s how good they were! Duck was tender and seasoned right. Love love love! Best lunch since we arrived in Montpellier. 🙂
Loved the interior, cozy and not intimidating. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Merci for the wine recos!

We were originally on the hunt for magret de canard but had no luck—so we ended up at Le Paresseur, and it turned out to be a great choice.
The restaurant has a warm, cozy atmosphere, and the service was excellent. The waiter was genuinely helpful with both food and wine recommendations.
We started with duck served tataki-style—absolutely delicious. For the mains, I had lamb that was beautifully cooked, while my partner had a risotto. It tasted great, though it was slightly undercooked.
We finished by sharing a lemon mille-feuille, which was light, refreshing, and a perfect end to the meal—another great recommendation from the waiter.
A lovely experience overall. Highly recommended!

The atmosphere was quite nice, it was like an underground caracomb. We shared the two person sea food meal. The presentation of the plate was rather flashy. However, the taste was lackluster. No salt, no lemon, just some weird french sauces. You guys try to make up with your bad wish cooking skills by using different dressings. Fish is tasty as itself, no need to use weird sauce. Also you are bad at cooking the cuttletish. Fish was dry ahh hell. Octopus was good. Also your entrees were nice dawg. the perfect egg was good and also the other shi i think it was carpace or sm idk.

It is a nice place though we were not super impressed by the food. We chose foie de canard, entrecot and a burger. It was fine but expectations were higher. Nice wine options as expected. Good service. Even we booked well in advance we were seated in one of the high tables which is not the most comfortable options.

Le paresseur is a fine bistro in the heart of Montpellier’s historic center. Their menu is very well thought, creative and appealing. Their service is friendly and the overall ambiance is very nice and warm. It’s recommended for a nice dinner between a small group of friends although it’s bit expensive but worth it for the experience 😉

Outstanding food, sea bream ceviche for starters and lamb to die for! The best lamb I´ve had in many years. Pleasant surroundings.
