– Crispy Rice Starter: Topped w a good amt of fish.
Def a 1-2 bite per piece starter!
– Crunchy Salmon Hand Roll: Rolled tightly and the fish-to-rice ratio was perfect!
– 4 Set Roll: Opted for the cut roll, but also had the option of a hand roll (taco shaped)
– Salmon Ikura Don: Standard, but plentiful + filling!
The interior is pretty spacious + has a comfortable back room with extra seating. Staff is extremely attentive – although it’s prob bc they wanna keep turning around tables quick. Portions are decent!
Would come back.
I arrived right before the Happy Hour ended, so I was able to try their “Sushi Tacos,” and they were surprisingly delicious! It felt shockingly good for the price!
I also ordered the Sweet Shrimp from the Nigiri menu and wow… such a buttery texture, and it was truly a journey of flavor!
Also got the spicy tune roll and it was good, but I might come back to try some more of their nigiri.
If you sit by the bar, you might get cold when they open the door, so beware of that.
Also, if you want to see pictures of the food, use the QR code menu!
Recommend the edamame, cucumber salad, the spicy tuna/salmon rolls (4 in each for happy hour price), the lychee martini and the plum wine!! Drinks are on the stronger side.
If you go, make sure to try the sushi tacos, take advantage of the happy hour specials, and enjoy the beautiful interior. I’m a regular here and will definitely keep coming back for happy hours and date nights.
Value-wise, Mikado is pretty great given its deals and happy hours. Enjoyed my lunch set a great deal, but would be hard pressed to say it was particularly noteworthy compared to some of the more premium spots in the city. Still a great spot to check out when in the area!
