Came as a party of 2 on a Sat evening @6pm as walk in + was able to be seated right away despite the restaurant being decently packed. Happy Hour ran until 7 pm, so l was able to order a hand cut roll off the menu – FYl their hand cut rolls are 4 pieces. What we got:
– Crispy Rice Starter: Topped w a good amt of fish.
Def a 1-2 bite per piece starter!
– Crunchy Salmon Hand Roll: Rolled tightly and the fish-to-rice ratio was perfect!
– 4 Set Roll: Opted for the cut roll, but also had the option of a hand roll (taco shaped)
– Salmon Ikura Don: Standard, but plentiful + filling!

The interior is pretty spacious + has a comfortable back room with extra seating. Staff is extremely attentive – although it’s prob bc they wanna keep turning around tables quick. Portions are decent!
Would come back.

Stopped by for a very light dinner and the food was SO GOOD.

I arrived right before the Happy Hour ended, so I was able to try their “Sushi Tacos,” and they were surprisingly delicious! It felt shockingly good for the price!

I also ordered the Sweet Shrimp from the Nigiri menu and wow… such a buttery texture, and it was truly a journey of flavor!

Also got the spicy tune roll and it was good, but I might come back to try some more of their nigiri.

If you sit by the bar, you might get cold when they open the door, so beware of that.

Also, if you want to see pictures of the food, use the QR code menu!

Definitely will be coming back for happy hour 3:30-6pm. The quality of all the ingredients is 10/10, the fish the seaweed, ponzu.. $6 for each roll and 3$ cucumber salad- A STEAL! for quality of fish. I loved it, ambiance is lovely as well.

Highly Recommend for Happy Hour! We got seated at the large table, a private coat rack and the most gorgeous atmosphere.

Recommend the edamame, cucumber salad, the spicy tuna/salmon rolls (4 in each for happy hour price), the lychee martini and the plum wine!! Drinks are on the stronger side.

The staff was very accommodating for my party of 10. The food was pricey, but it was good. The room I was sitting in was loud but that’s no fault of the restaurant. I believe everyone in my party was satisfied. /10

One of my absolute favorite sushi spots in NYC (so good I almost wanted to keep it a secret). They offer amazing happy hour deals, a great vibe, and an awesome variety of sushi.

If you go, make sure to try the sushi tacos, take advantage of the happy hour specials, and enjoy the beautiful interior. I’m a regular here and will definitely keep coming back for happy hours and date nights.

TLDR: Solid sushi, one of the better spots in WV / FiDi.

Value-wise, Mikado is pretty great given its deals and happy hours. Enjoyed my lunch set a great deal, but would be hard pressed to say it was particularly noteworthy compared to some of the more premium spots in the city. Still a great spot to check out when in the area!

Best happy hour in the city! They do not play when it come to portions, the fish to rice ratio is perfect. And who can beat a 7 dollar cocktail?

Definitely enjoyed their happy hour sushi deal and appetizers. It was really good and can get a bunch of food for the fraction of the price. Happy hour I believe is everyday from 3:30pm-6pm so definitely take advantage of this good deal. I recommend to everyone. Staff was nice, and inside it looks so upscale and fancy, that I couldn’t believe the happy hour prices. Definitely will be going again and bringing friends!!

Great place for sushi! Cucumber salad was very healthy, rolls were delicate and fresh. Ambiance was relaxed, great for large groups or a date. I took my niece for her bday and she loved it. The flowers are real and add to the simple elegance of this place. It is a bit pricey, so there’s that. But a great experience would recommend and would come back
