Jessi was super helpful! She answered all our questions about the new menu items while we ordered on the kiosk (which I actually loved that there were photos of every taco to choose from on the kiosk, but it was a bit tricky when it asked for which guest to assign the taco to lol). The Queso was amazing as usual, tacos were perfect and came out really quick, and these tortillas taste like the good HEB butter tortillas! And thennnnn we had the Reese’s peanut butter cup cookie and it was sooooooo good! The whole place was clean and the most friendly service!

We had never tried Torchys! I must say we got the triple appetizer and it was all good. I really enjoyed their chips. I had 3 tacos and all had really good flavor. I do wish they had more hot sauce available, but that is just me.

Jessi was so great as soon as we walked in we were about to order from the kiosk and she offered to take our order instead! While we were ordering, she made sure to get our alcoholic beverages ordered in time to get happy hour! She came and checked on us as we were eating as well to make sure we were enjoying our food. Love this Torchys and we will be back again!

The food was super tasty. I highly recommend getting the missionary taco, even though it’s not on the official menu I would say that the tacos are a little bit on the pricier side, but the taste makes it so worth it. The vibe of the restaurant is also really fun.

It’s been years since we’ve had Torchy’s and we had many little taco dates at the Torchy’s in college station so we stopped in to this location on our way to San Antonio to visit family and it was a 10/10. The food was as good as we remembered and the staff here is amazing and so friendly.

This Torchy’s location never misses! It’s conveniently located and offers plenty of parking to dine-in. They also have both indoor and outdoor seating. We were surprised when we walked in to two new kiosks for self-ordering. There is still one employee available to take orders which is nice. We opted to try the kiosks and were pleasantly surprised at all the options to modify. It took us longer than expected but it was because of modifying our orders. When there’s long lines, I bet those kiosks will come in handy! We will probably opt in for the live employee. We love the rewards program as they will randomly offer us free chips & queso to entice us to come in. I will say Torchy’s queso is one of the top queso’s in Austin, Tx. There I said it. It’s so good but does have a little kick to it. Some say it’s spicy others say it’s perfect. I love that their chips are thin and made in house. I usually go for their chicken salad which is so delicious and flavorful! But they just recently added more salads and bowls and I will have to try them all. My husband really likes the barbacoa and the Baja shrimp tacos! We always love their aguas frescas. The flavors must rotate as they always have something different. You definitely need to try this Torchy’s location!

First time ever visiting a Torchy’s location, but let me tell you, they have a new regular! When I walked in, the chill, lively vibes were immediately felt, and I knew I was at the right place. I was catching up with a couple of local friends, and I’m very glad they suggested Torchy’s as the place to get a couple of drinks and chat. Not only was the environment superb, but the staff were superb as well! Big shout-out to Sherlyn, the cashier at the front, who walked me through the entire menu as I was trying to find what to try. Not only was she witty and friendly, but she was super attentive, answered every single one of my questions, made appropriate suggestions, and ensured my order was correct. Even after ordering with her, she came around a couple of times to check on how everything was and even helped us order some dessert (the churros were AWESOME btw)! Overall, this was an incredibly positive experience, and I will be coming back in the near future.

Big fan of this location. Food is consistently great. Bar staff is friendly and several remember my order on return visits. And it’s great value- a small queso, taco, and drink/beer is about the same price as fast food but with better quality.

If you haven’t already, you need to check out Torchy’s Tacos on Slaughter near HEB! The service is always amazing and the staff is super friendly. Jessi is especially awesome — she always makes sure my (very complicated ) order is perfect every time. And the food? Always delicious!

Brandon is a professional bartender who instinctively knows your drink order before you do. Jessi is welcoming, friendly, and professional. They both create a post work environment that makes you feel at ease and seen. There are tons of seats at the bar and it’s a welcoming place. Would highly recommend to any local or visitor- all are welcomed. 🙂
