Three of us went to Rocky Mount, NC Zaxby’s for lunch. It was our first time visiting this location. The dining area was clean and well maintained.
The staff members were great. All of them were very friendly, helpful, and professional.
*Especially “Side Eye” and “Big Money” – 2 employees with great, positive attitudes!
Our food orders were correct, and we were served quickly. Each food item was well-prepared and delicious.
We’re glad we stopped at this Zaxby’s for lunch. We’re looking forward to our next visit!

I’ll start by saying I usually love the food and employees are usually nice. However, I stopped today and saw they had a surf n turf.. Chicken tenders were good per usual, but these shrimp.. Babyyyyy these things were awful. Tasted like old grease. They taste just like they look… Ughhhh I chewed one and almost threw up. Spit it out and threw the whole plate away and cashier acted like he had an attitude cause I asked for my cup. Smh

Zaxbys is always our go to spot for a good chicken bacon ranch quesadilla. They also brought back there Zax Seas Box and it was excellent. Good customer service and the employees where very helpful.

FOH wasn’t really concerned about greeting customers they just walked around back and forth didn’t say hey absolutely no reading at all had to stand there and wait for about 5 minutes before somebody came to the register the cashier was polite other than that the food was good at least

I was inspired to come here and usually I will not because the drive thru line is usually so full but I caught them at a great time. My food was good. Wings and tenders were crisp and well seasoned. The sauce I got on my wings was the hot honey mustard and I just needed a bit more heat with it. The fries were good, not great but good they just needed a bit more of a crisp cook and seasoning. Lemonade was good, just wish they had tea that they were promoting but the staff was especially courteous and I appreciate their work and I would come back.

I had an absolutely horrible experience at this location that I feel compelled to warn others about. I ordered my meal expecting decent food and service, but instead, I was met with complete disappointment and disgust.
Both ranch packets I opened contained what can only be described as an unsanitary mess. The ranch had what appeared to be spoiled or contaminated portions inside, with chunks that looked completely off. The sight alone was enough to ruin my appetite. It was revolting and made me question the hygiene and quality control standards at this establishment.
To make matters worse, the staff didn’t seem to care when I brought this to their attention. There was no apology, no replacement, and no attempt to make it right. It’s clear Zaxby’s doesn’t value its customers or the quality of its food.
Save your time and money—this place isn’t worth the risk. I will not be returning and will make sure to share my experience with others to steer them clear of this disaster of a restaurant.

Teriyaki chicken wings were so fire. I had been on a long road trip and was in need of some food and rest and this spot definitely checked off the food. At first I was mad because it ended up being 4 miles off the highway but it was so worth it. French fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy. Chicken fingers were nice and juicy. I really didnt care for the fried pickles though. Service was great and restaurant was clean. Toast was really good too. Definitely recommend.
