Our sophisticated, high energy Italian & Romanian restaurant pays tribute to Jim Durfy, a veteran of the South Florida restaurant scene who opened the original Rainbo Café in 1933. The Rainbo served as a casino & nightclub during the years following the Prohibition era. The place attracted a well-healed and notorious crowd, said to include Al Capone and his cronies. The famous café would also write its own chapter in Hollywood’s history by appearing in Martin Scorsese’s thriller “Cape Fear” starring Nick Nolte & Robert DeNiro.

The food was good with selections of both Italian and Romanian specialties available. Our server was good and was knowledgeable about the foods and drinks. I ordered something new to me, Tuica, which was called similar to a brandy. It came in a shot glass, was different, and potent. We sat at a table outside on the sidewalk in perfect temperature weather and enjoyed the happenings and our surroundings near the street.

A great place if you like Rumanian food. We tried the Icre Salad, the Mamaliga with Feta Cheese and the beef Mitite, very tasty and fresh. Service was attentive. Recommended!

Absolutely unforgettable dining experience at Villa Romana!
From start to finish, everything was perfect. The mashed potatoes were creamy and clearly homemade, and the lamb chops were incredibly tender, paired with a mint sauce that added a refreshing, unexpected twist. Just chef’s kiss.
I ordered the seafood linguine, and they were so accommodating, they prepared it with the sauce I wanted, and it turned out flawless. Every bite was delicious, and the seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked.
The dessert? Wow. It looked like art on a plate and tasted even better; sweet, warm, and beautifully balanced with cream and fruit.
Big thanks to Andre, who made the evening extra special with his thoughtful recommendations and exceptional service. He made us feel truly welcomed and taken care of.
Highly recommend this gem of a restaurant. We’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely loved our lunch at Villa Romana!
The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the service was outstanding — warm, attentive, and truly made us feel at home.
Every dish we tried was delicious. The salmon was perfectly cooked, the steaks were juicy and flavorful, and the mushroom pasta was rich and comforting. We were all impressed!

Villa Romana is an awesome place. I think I’m an awesome Chef but Villa Romana outdid me. The White Seafood Soup was perfect. The Chicken Piccata exceeded my own and was tender and wonderfully delicious! Ionela, our waitress, had a kind personality and is a truly gorgeous woman with a fantastic memory! The young Cuban male waiter was unobtrusive, attentive, and handsome. The male vocalist was just the right touch of class with a remarkably beautiful voice and perfect repertoire of songs! My four longtime friends and I had a memorable experience! Thank you!
