Ant was a such a nice and attentive server! This was the busiest restaurant! We asked him to double check our drinks were non alcoholic and he did it with a quickness!
Give him a raise! Very busy but great food! (Sorry I wrote the wrong review initially)

No no no no no. The place is called “Breakfast” Bar but even at 10 am on a Saturday it is like a cheap night club at the end of the night when the lights are turned on. Biscuits were excellent. That is all that was good. Online menu only with no drinks listed…so I ordered a coffee ($5.25) and a mimosa ($12) to find out after I paid that these were more expensive than my meal. Coffee was cold, but alo burnt, and probably brewed last week. Mimosa was weak with almost no bubbles. For a few bucks more and a few blocks away I could have had unlimited mimosas in a glass instead of a plastic cup. When I paid, I wasn’t given the check to see what the total was – just given the card payment reader. Had to have the receipt emailed to me to see how much the gross coffee and weak mimosa were. At 11 am on a Saturday I was the only one there! The loud music (with commercials) was bumping away. Most everything was plastic except the “silverware” which was somehow cheaper feeling than plastic. I felt like I was eating at a school cafeteria. I should gave just left when I first walked in, saw nobody, and had to ask the guy who eventually wandered over to me (who said nothing to me) if the place was even open because nobody was there and nothing was being made in the kitchen. My bad- everyone else seems to know not to go. AVOID. I do NOT understand the good reviews.

I have been to this wonderful establishment many times under both owners. The vibes are always great. I love the music. Last time I went with my girls, we had Nana as a waitress and she was PHENOMENAL! She made sure we had a great time and was so sweet. The food is truly divine and I cleared my plate. Order some cheesy grits with whatever you get- u wont be disappointed. Mimosas are delicious ans definitely a spot to regular.

The place was smaller than expected but its a different concept. Im not sure if the inside is open but the patio is covered by greenhouse coverings and has 2 tvs and some fans. The only liquor is mimosas that is given in a plastic cup. You also get plastic silveware. The food wasnt bad but wasnt memorable. I got the chicken and waffles and my husband got the catfish and grits with a side of eggs. First the wings were very small and the waffle cannot be freshly made so im guessing they come frozen. The catfish was done well but needed some seasoning and the grits were not fully done. Im not a fan of the seating arrangements but understand they have to make due. The price seemed reasonable before the portions came out so i cant agree as it doesnt compare to similar places and to have to pay for parking is insult to injury. The service was just okay as they made us waiting for others at different tables to get their orders together so they could get it all at once. The music was the best part for me. I know people dont know when there being reviewed which means the service and food should be the same for everyone.

This is my family’s favorite breakfast spot in Minneapolis. The husband and my boys love the fried lobster and French toast. I love the catfish and grits or the build your own grits bowl. Their greens are delicious too .

I’m not going to lie, we stood in the entrance and waited for the host to stop talking to the server. The host had on a red jumpsuit and didn’t look like she was part of the crew. She then grabbed the silverware and started walking without acknowledging us, she came back for us after she realized we weren’t following. Food was great but please step it up when it comes to restaurant etiquette especially for the hosts but not the server. The server was great!

In town for a wedding and several people recommended we stop here. My husband and I both had the Soul Food Plate. Everything was DELICIOUS and definitely good portions. The dinner came with 2 wings that were drizzled in gravy. The crust of the chicken remained crispy even with the well-seasoned gravy. Mac and cheese was good and the yams were perfect too. Greens were well seasoned well and were served on top of rice. My only critique is that I would have wanted more greens and less rice on my plate. We will definitely come back when we are visiting the area again. We loved the atmosphere and the parking was great on a Sunday afternoon.

When in Minnesnowta, I’m hitting this spot. Always here. I should get a vip table when we eat here cause I’m always here and usually with 10 plus people. I don’t know who owns the place but this spot needs to be kept going. Be back next week.

Picked this place randomly. Ended up being one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. French toast was grilled perfectly with a nice little crunch to it. Best biscuits I’ve had. Didn’t affect the enjoyability of the meal but they issued plastic utensils and cups. Not a big deal. Waitress was pleasant and attentive. We made a couple requests for our orders and they executed this without issue. Will certainly come back again next time I’m in Minneapolis. Thanks for everything.

I have been here in the past under the old owners. It was such a nice place with good food and service. My family went today and it was absolutely horrible. We waited for service for along time and when our food was brought out we didn’t get any syrup with our waffles. We didn’t even receive silverware. The owner finally brought out plastic utensils. Why would we want to eat with plastic ware? These people had the nerves to charge us all a gratuity! My family will never go back here while these people are running things. FYI the wings were so small. This place should not be open for business!
Thanks
